Zodiac Ages’ job system does a lot to balance the game for new players. Perhaps too much

I don't remember 12 job system fondly, it felt like you play the same basic character with different skins. A game that did the job system more...

There is Bravely Default which carries and expands on FF5's job system. It is considered the closest we will get to Job systems of that style.
