I wouldn't describe it as soup, but it is pretty good. Similarly, I like barley "tea" a lot - it's best when cold, imo.

Whoever first suggested lapsang, thank you. Just had a great cup at the top of a mountain, and it really does taste like a campfire. Not bitter...
