Quite often, .22 is filthy shit, especially cheap stuff. And depending on the action & ammo used, loves to shed slivers of lead & brass.

Null, I've heard that the latest versions of the Ruger have remedied that somewhat. But then, how often, if ever, do you need to disassemble a .22?

The Mark IV makes it ridiculously easy - just drop the mag and check clear (which will cock the hammer), set to safe and then just push the button...
