I think it was in Gen 6 that now its a key item that you activate and all your party pokémon get EXP. Starting with Gen 8 its a mandatory feature

Honestly, 0 interest there. Looks like it has all the same problems as all other pokemon games on the switch, low quality textures, soulless...

It used to be that way, but since Sword and Shield it gives all pokemon in your party exp after a battle. You have it from the start of the game...
