What kind of doomed TTYD was the diminishing XP gains, tbh. But there's also an badge that eliminates random battles, but I forgot exactly where...

It's only Cree*y Stee*le.

I played TTYD when it came out and had the same opinion. It was okay, I guess, but kinda dragged and not nearly as fun as the N64 game.
