'R.O.D. the TV' is one of my favorites, I'd definitely suggest watching it if you liked the OVA. That said, Yomiko isn't in the first half much...

Love the OVA. Hate the TV series. I don't recommend it, especially if you're hoping Yomiko will be front and center.
