I honestly would have preferred they brought in someone like Yuna with 'summoner/gunner' switch mechanic. and do the opposite villian of Seymour.

Kefka is hands down the best villain that franchise has ever had, and it's not even close. But stabbing the dumb flower girl is so much better...
