For casual rum I like Kraken, Appleton Estate is also good for budget rum. I haven't tried the more expensive stuff yet though.

Appleton Estate and Flor de Caña are good brands that aren’t hard to find at all. Smith and Cross is also fantastic but I can’t find it anywhere...
