This is a tough choice actually, think of the implications of dropping this now and those in keeping it going, what will be achieved either way. Fuck the politeness and her age, she's a terrible person who needs to suffer. But what happens going forward. This is a choice of whether the farms wants to continue being a tranny shitposting website or actually addressing some of the more powerful evil people around. The rule of law is that of the jungle only the strong survive and what she did caused her to get to this point, her parents can suffer the consequences along with her because of the actions that got her here in the first place.
They can lawyer her up but 1st amendment and fair use is pretty strong here in the US.

The letter states that she deserves criticism and discussion. It states that she has no intent to sue. My bet is that she shopped for lawyers, trying to find someone who could help. She learned how the legal system works, and that she is fucked. So, for ~$250, someone sent a pointless and polite letter as a 'negotiator' just to take her money. She's probably just throwing cash at anything that she thinks might help.
