I just had a thought. Maybe it's really retarded - it probably is.

Whales don't give Phil money because they like him and his content. Whales give Phil money because they are foot soldiers in the battle of Phil vs. the Tractors. A dollar tipped to Phil is a dollar tipped against hate!

Imagine if Phil shut off free accessibility to his streams, and made it so that people could only watch if they paid a monthly subscription fee (surely there must be a way to do that on YouTube?). If he did that, everyone would dip - whales and trolls alike. Everyone would stop caring collectively, because nobody is actually invested in Phil - as a streamer, an entertainer, a content creator. What they are really invested in is the drama and waiting for some sort of comeuppance, either Phil's or the trolls.

I don't believe for a second that Katherine, the bird that's too lazy to work full time while her beloved husband is struggling to pay the bills and put food on the table, is buying games for his failing business. So far, everything he's said means there is even less deductions to take toward that $5k/month claim. I have my own small business that relies on driving, insurance, buying inventory and I still don't have $5k/mo expenses.

I think the real reason is that this is what tippers are reduced to if they want to avoid the usual hazards of being a paypig. I can't think of any other reason Phil would draw attention to such tips, unless he's THAT desperate to get the public-facing tips up.

Oh. That's it, isn't? He kept quiet about it before because he was doing fine, but now he actually needs them to be public.

I'm convinced at this point that Phil has made no steps to take advantage of the glasses gimmick by getting some that help him see but, to him, "look cool", entirely out of spite because of being made fun of for not seeing shit on screen. Because he could easily do that, and what else is stopping him? He already looks like a stupid asshole, it's not like wearing prescription glasses is going to be a downgrade in that regard. In fact, he would come across as less of a chimp because most glasses that correct ones vision don't look dumb these days.

It has to be because he knows it's grating to watch him bumble around like Mr. Magoo when he doesn't at all have to.

As for his thing with getting "donated" stuff, and Kat supposedly purchasing things, I assume that to be our fault. We talk a LOT about how Phil looks way less poor than he wants to seen as, and so he lies about his buying of consoles, games, and even his dress up gimmicks, to look more convincing. Which of course he fucks up.

Yes, it auto-renews but if you are using Google Play credit as your payment method, it will unsub you when it's too low, obviously. I am convinced though that most people just unsub / don't use google giftcards.

What we know for sure is that he gets fucking embarrassed. For the people who say his mother is living with them, I respectfully disagree. There were these moments were Phil ran to Khet to show his wet pants or when he tried to beat up hide from a burglar (which was Khet - somewhat poetic). On both occasions he left the door open so we could hear him act like a child. The second situation proves to me that he can't fathom, even if he knew his "family" left the house, something can be off schedule. I know it's Phil but even for him it would be dumb to keep the office door open when, for whatever reason, his mom could walk in or make noises to reveal herself.

I don't know what is going in his dented head but I would bet it's not his actual mother being present in the condo.
 
It's really something when Phil is in hysterics over his cat-son's antics, and he keeps looking at chat to see if anybody even cares but there's nothing but stony silence.

Just imagine that playing out with Phil on stage in front of a physical audience. Painful!

Everyone knows people who have called some female figure in their life mom, like teachers, or managers, at least once. It isn't that weird, but it's still a little weird. I don't think it's a kink thing either. Maybe this is just because of how much degenerate shit I've encountered in my life, people in those sorts of relationships tend to be either very good at controlling it since they are well aware of how weird it is and don't want to alienate the people around them with it (good and mature) or else are way too fucking overboard with it to the point where it becomes part of their personality.

Always go with the simplest explanation. I will bet $1 that from birth until he met Panda the only real-life interaction DSP ever had with a female was his mother. She's probably the only female to give him the time of day. For like 30 years his brain solely associated 'female person who acknowledges me' with "Mom." Hard subconscious habit to break.

Obviously, considering that the digital version is owned by Kat, the simpler thing to do is to buy the upgrade using Kat’s account. To make things even worse, Phil tried to do the upgrade yesterday when the option to do it straight away to the PS5 version wasn’t even available, an embarrassment he could’ve avoided if he did 2 minutes of research.

Tl;dr: Phil is a fucking idiot who’s too lazy to even do a 2-min Google search.
