Money What will chris spend the 750$ he stole from barb on?

I reckon Chris panicked and has since shut all that down and switched into pretending everything's fine and he's just having a day out. IMO that means no wild spending sprees, but probably wandering around the mall, hitting up the food court and maybe buying a few toys - that's basically his default state of being. The reason I'm pretty sure he's not making it rain in the toy shop is because he doesn't really have anywhere to play with toys, so he's not going to stock up too much.

He might book a motel. I kinda think he might just stay in his car while sighing autistically because booking a motel is too much effort. I really doubt he's headed to Seattle.

He broke the internet and his mother, wouldn't put it past him to think he could chug up to Seattle in his magic caravan.

Besides, we don't know where he is even.
 
Does Chris have a credit card? Most hotels ain't gonna let you book with a debit card alone unless you have fantastic credit and I have a most sneaking suspicion that ain't cwc.

I've paid rooms on debit plenty of times, as long as Chris has the funds he can at least do a couple of nights that way, assuming the $750 is going to things like that.

Felonies put people in this category but also any crime that could have resulted in a sentence of a year or more, regardless of the actual sentence. Chris was convicted of misdemeanors when he hit Michael Snyder with his car but only served probation with the plea deal, but the sentence could have been over a year I think.

Point is if Chris went to a gun store he'd get denied via the NICS system, probably, and there's no way Chris could figure out how to do a private purchase.

Chris picked the cheapest, sleaziest place he could find probably not to save money but so he would have money left to spend. That McDonalds isn't going to buy itself. He's probably just watching hotel cartoons and ignoring his phone which is probably going off non-stop at this point.
 
He spent the $750 on bedroom toys so he can really stretch Babs out when they get back to 14BC.

Both seem entirely likely given the Chandler family- that Chris would focus on getting to some stupid con while his life falls apart around him or that Barb's liquid assets are $750. I'm leaning towards the latter since he said he would pay it back once he got the $1000- I think he would have taken the extra $250 (or however much was in there) if it was possible. In that case it will all just be fettered away immediately on stupid shit plus a hotel for a couple of nights.

Honestly this is how a bail bondsman in VA could capture him. Place a CL ad up for a massive lego haul and then when the dope eventually shows up just pull out your nightstick and subdue him with the 'ole wood shampoo.

The hell they will. He's got a two day head start on them, which is more than he needs. Christine's got friends in every town and village from here to Neptune, he speaks a dozen CPU-languages, knows every local custom, he'll blend in, disappear, they'll never see him again. With any luck, he's got the medallion already.
