Not to forget, Osamu Tezuka, one of the most influential anime and manga creators of all time, was heavily inspired in style by early Disney, Akira Toriyama was inspired to become a mangaka thanks to a certain Disney film featuring 101 dalmatians and so on. So western animation inspired anime quite a lot and vice versa. I think that Dobson is just jealous because a) Anime became such a huge thing eventually, b) a lot of bad shit aside, good stuff like Cowboy Beop, Space Dandy, One Piece and such also came out (and blew his shit worth to be reviewed by Bennet the Sage out of water) and c) his "anime style" looks like shit compared to even the simpler mangas out there.
I can't draw or animate for shit but holy hell I've made brownian motion simulations on a Compaq Deskpro from the fucking 80's that was animated more smoothly than that.
