Would you be fine with a group of influential newspaper editors sitting and "talking shop" on a private list? Or influential people and editors in the tech press?

Ask any journalist what he'd say to a private list like that, and he'd say that it seems shady as fuck. And even if it just was for talking shop, you still shouldn't do it because of the possibility of collusion.

Who cares, it sounds like a bunch of innuendo from a bunch of lazy self entitled men. How does worrying about this get you a job or out of your families house?

Does your family know you are online worrying about this stuff and wasting time?
 
The funny thing is that people take video game reviews so seriously like I mean come on man like I put hundreds of hours playing OOTP Baseball which is like the most autistic game ever for people who like baseball just like I've put hundreds of hours into playing Skyrim. Meanwhile, I can barely stand first person shooters because I find them boring. Nick Smith (Ulilillia) enjoys games that most people consider shitty like Bubsy 3D because he can spend hours discovering bugs in the game and breaking the mechanics. There's such a wide diversity of vidya out there it's nearly impossible to determine an objectively good video game. Also if people were so concerned with the ethics of vidya journalism why weren't they doing anything in the 90s when magazines were selling ad space in exchange for positive reviews?

The only way we can end gamergate is to film a porno starring Brianna Wu and Homer. It would make both sides collectively commit suicide.

So no crazy SJW tumblrite could EVER consider something like this? Or somebody else far left of center?

I seem to remember that there were a lot of death threats flying around back when Trayvon or Michael Brown got shot. And nobody who felt that strong about those issues could possibly feel strong enough this issue?

Let's get real: Some of the bomb threats against the other side prob. came from GamerGaters. Just like some of the threats against GamerGaters came from anti-GGers. There are fanatics and nutcases on both sides.
(And plenty of progressive fanatics and nutcases...)

The thing is that the people that you denegrate by calling them "SJW Tumblrites" have a valid cause. They are trying to make the world a more equal and fair place for everyone.

Gamergate is just a tool to help already priveleged men keep their power and every tool and method do defeat them is permissible.

Just shut up get a job and move out of your parents basement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I disagree. Women are genetically inferior sluts and GamerGate would have never happened, had Zoe Quinn not existed. Personally we should just genocide all women, so as to do video game diversity properly. The aforementioned sluts care nothing but to satisfy their base desires (notice how all they ever care about is adding other sluts to their games or stereotypically beautiful men). A woman's definition of diversity is wrong and flawed, which is unsurprising given that women are always wrong and flawed. The only appropriate action to take to save video games is to commit genocide of women so that the male master race can finally bring upon the Golden Age of Vidya.

All games or just console games/PC games?

I could get behind that, depending on where the line is drawn. Angry Birds?Solitaire? Could men play those?
I assume Sims is alright too, since it's so incredibly gay, it could only help tear down the patriarchy.

Also "Depression Quest" and the upcoming "Depression Quest 2: Ohnoes! You got raped!" Men would be allowed, nay encouraged, to play those, yeah?
