‘Powerpuff Girls’ Live-Action Series - Officially Dead

Some might disagree but I like Immortality Syndrome. It's about Blossom getting killed by Mojo but then is bought back by the Professor. However, something is different about her. She thinks life is pointless and wants everyone to suffer the same pain she did. Bubbles and Buttercup try to stop her but things soon get worse. It's well written and keeps you on the edge of your seat. It does have a rather unnecessary sequel though.



There's also some live action PPG videos on Youtube. Even though they probably have poor acting, bad effects if any, and cringly jokes they have one thing this show won't have. Passion. They fans who made these videos or fanfictions want to show their love for the series. They want to spread it to others by showing their loyalty to it. Sure, they might be horrible to read or watch but at least you can tell they had fun doing it. The had the passion to do it. The Room might be a horrible film but Tommy Wiseau didn't make it for a cheap buck. He made it because he had the passion to make his own film despite everyone telling him he couldn't. You need to appreciate the man for that. This show clearly is made just for a cheap buck, It's a recognizable name and the people working on it don't care for the passion; it's just their job.

It’s a lot easier to enjoy something when the people involved are clearly having fun doing it.

Well that too, obviously, but out of the three of them Bubbles is the one written to be a shallow vapid pathetic mess, whereas Blossom is dmanaged but highly successful and Buttercup is a firewoman who sleeps around and is a ladies woman or whatever. I’d say the only character who gets it worse it the Professor just because they completely go to the opposite extreme of his character in the cartoon.
 
I remember seeing early leaks of the script awhile back and seeing them not only confirmed but even worse in context...I am filled with a sense of joy and dread I never thought was possible.

And while the script deserves all the drubbing it’s getting and more, but the article stating why the pilot was scrapped. Apparently the pilot was somehow “too campy” and “not grounded in reality”. Think about that for a second...

At this point I want to take the darkest, edgiest fanfic of a show like Danny Phantom or Kim Possible and submit it to Hollywood just to see if they’ll actually take it.

People have been hesitant to accept this as real for reasons obvious, but I'm going to use my fucking powers of pattern recognition, plus the fact that the thing's been repeatedly DMCA'd, to suggest that not only is the script leak real, but that we haven't even begun to see how bad this will get.

EDIT: You know what I just realized?
We now live in a timeline where Randy Stair's Danny Phantom Mass Shooting thing is a more grounded idea than anything the CW has done with PPG.

it wasn’t dark or edgy, but they did make a Kim Possible live action film that was pretty shit, Kim literally has an existential crisis because someone is better than her at something.

Well, I can tell you who took the heat for that episode, it wasn't the TTG fuckers even though THEY wrote the episode, all blame went on the Roar guys even when they barely had anything to do with the episode.

Imagine being a modern screenwriter, you suck balls, both literally to get where you are, and figuratively you don't know anything besides rehashing shit from your childhood.
You now have a job that's to redo what an actual talented person did, being modern year of course you'll be petty enough to shit on it for your own ego.

Agreed and I'd also say the same about My Immortal. Heck, if someone were to send that story to CW they would probably greenlight it. You will just need to throw in a race swap and pepper in some woke first.

Sadly once they run out of Source material, it will only go down hill, even CW couldn't write something as ironically funny as My Immortal.

Congrats people, looks like confirmation you're getting for PPG what the Watch was Discworld. Enjoy! My sole disappointment is we're never going to get to see the original pilot.
