It's more than that.

When they steal from me, they're telling me that MY life means nothing. That they value my things more than they value my life. Those 'things' represent time I spent working, devoting myself to a craft, and/or making something. That 'thing' is a tangible representation of my sacrifice of time, effort, and resources in order to acquire or create that 'thing.'

Additionally, the question is not 'do you value your things more than a human life' is the actual question that is hidden behind pretending thieves have no agency or free will and must steal anything they want or see: "Why are their lives so lacking that they value my possessions, a physical representation of my life spent in toil, more than they value life and limb?"

The answer, of course, is: "But people matter, maaaaaaaaaaan. It's just things, you know, like, just things, all from Mother Earth."

Besides all the other reasons to hate white guilt, there is one I find particularly unnerving: The fact that it's my own kind that are out to get me. At least when minorities and immigrants are racist to whites, I can understand it only because everyone grows up with some form of racism as a cultural norm. I'm not saying that's an inherently good thing, just that it's a normal human cultural phenomenon. However, seeing another white person like Dan Slott purposely, on his volition, going out of his way to shit all over other white people is disturbing. It's not just guilt about the past or meer resentment or embarrassment for how some white people behave. This is a white person who is willing to destroy his own culture, society, and heritage in the vain hope that he'll be "absolved" from his imaginary sin of being white. Naturally, enough will never be enough.

At least I know where I stand with angry black nationalists like Louis Farrakhan. People like Dan Slott are the ones I would be more weary of.
