I'm assuming you're including Sekiro in the "with a guide" because he was being told exactly where to go to get all the health and attack upgrades along with the steps needed to get the "true" ending.
When he was sticking around at the monkey boss and acted surprised when he woke up.

I was watching RE8 last stream and there was a room with a blood pool and some puzzle. He moved them without knowing wtf he is doing and without error. No extra moves or anything, he got it first try.

he's literally reading a gamefaq's guide out loud as he plays.

Also he definitely used a guide when attempting to takedown that guardian ape, the infamous and obvious "Ohhh Noo!" quote when he goes into his second phase still makes me chuckle about how fake his reaction is, he knew exactly how the boss was going to play out (and yet despite following a guide for the game consistently, he still lost to bosses like the guardian ape multiple times, just like the terrible let's player he always has been).

There's a reason why Phil cares so much about his day one views. I don't really get why, but his whales get extra generous when he plays new games.

Maybe we're all wrong and his whales actually support him because they like his gamepl... Yeah, I can't say that with a straight face, sorry
It's because they're watching him play the new releases, because they can't afford them, because they already gave all their money to Phil.

See how that works?

what? he didnt even read panel on the wall? and knew what he had to do?

Out of boredom and a very morbid curiosity I watched some of his RE8 ''''''''''''''gameplay'''''''''''''''' and it's disturbingly unwatchable. 12 years doing this shit, probably played every fucking RE game and can't bring anything insightfull during his videos, it's goat laughs, filling dead air with words breaking any tension and 5 year old kid attempts at humor. He's maybe the least entertainning robust, mature human individual not 6 feet underground.

He read it but his brain clearly not processed it. Then he just fucked around and got it first try.

holy shit I havent watched him play the game. this shit is cancer in its purest form.

its like he exactly knows what to do but intentionally doesnt turn to the statues so the "use" prompt doesnt show on the screen. instead he is running in circles, looking away from the statues, saying he doesnt want to go in the bloodpool, pure cancer.
he is going to stretch out this 8-10h game to atleast 20h if his paypig keep giving so much milk during this garbage stream.

Última edición:
He has to be playing on the Casual difficulty. I can’t imagine why they’d even put that in this game but I swear none of these enemies are doing any real damage. RE needs to stop this crap with the ez mode and just make a decent challenging game.
Anyone catch what he picked for his difficulty?

He probably hasn't played a single game besides street fighter without looking at a guide since Sekiro 2 years ago. None of his totally legitimate RAW gameplay reactions are genuine. To be fair though, he's been like that since day 1 too so...
There have been a few memorable times he hasn't used a guide. An easy tell is when there's a puzzle boss or just some kind of enemy where you have to think outside the box to defeat it and it doesn't click with Phil, the sense of dread in his voice becomes palpable, ultimately culminating in babyman.exe activating.

A good example of that is when he was playing the RE3 remake and he couldn't figure out how to win the earlier boss fight with Nemesis, the one where he would jump around the cars before climbing the tower. Phil whined like crazy, threw a temper tantrum and paused the game and folded his arms saying he wasn't going to keep playing until sometime told him how to beat the boss.

Yeah well for him any boss that doesn't have any obvious exploitable weaknesses like a big target or a cooldown time (or someone hasn't typed in chat yet about the steps you need to do in order to beat it) is his own interpretation of a "puzzle boss".

Phil a boss fight is supposed to be a slight tougher dilemma because that's the whole entire point of a fucking boss fight, it's a challenge, you lazy greedy fuck.

He's on Standard, saying that he will choose Hardcore if he decides to do a second run.

RE difficulties seem to have been scuffed for a while now. I recall the RE3 remake's Standard difficultly being akin to Easy, Hardcore = Normal, Nightmare = Hard, etc. But that had 5 difficulties and RE8 has 3 so I'm not sure if they'd be more balanced. It doesn't seem so with Phil still making hits when he's aiming at a 45 degree angle.

King Bob-omb from Mario 64 is a puzzle boss in phils mind.

Gamefaqs is always open on the laptop that's why when it crashes he panics 🤣
He has no self control and he doesn't want another PAZZLE BOSS incident like the one in RE3. The moment a puzzle boss shows up he's going to throw a giant fucking baby tantrum and there's nothing he can do to control it, it's just how his peanut brain is wired, so instead of looking like a giant fool in front of the internet he just looked up a guide.
