I'm kinda loving the anorexia saga. Its utterly ridiculous and makes her look like an even bigger fool than ever before. Its absolutely ridiculous and has launched a million hilarious comments and reactions.

Imagine tess as the poster girl for anorexia. Such a role model.

Tess is an inspiration in the world of anorexia but not for the reason she thinks.

If she thinks she will be inspirational in the role of an "anorexia survivor", she is sadly mistaken.

No matter what the disease may be ( anorexia or otherwise) if ending up with a body like Tess is considered a successful recovery, then please let me die. Morbidly obese is no way to live.

Tessie isn't even morbidly obese; she's hyperobese. It's class VI obesity with a BMI >60. Class VI obesity is the last rung of obesity classification; there's not one above it -- she's that fat. Her purported height and weight put her around a BMI of 70 or so.

That just makes the "anorexia" thing even more ridiculous. She's at the most dire class of obesity diagnosis, and she's claiming she has a serious problem with calorie restriction/deprivation.

When Tess' foot has to be amputated from diabetes, I wonder if she''ll claim that her lack of caloric intake due to anorexia resulted in her foot not receiving the necessary nutrients and decaying from malnutrition. Not quite the same but I noticed awhile ago Venus Angelic followed Tess, though she seems to have stopped now. I doubt it was for the life advice. I'm sure many ED having influencers/wannabe influencers follow her for reverse thinspo and if anyone asked they could just say it's to promote body positivity.

i've just watched that Kiana Docherty's video on her and i've got to say, if a girl who's made completely serious and non-judgemental videos on Guntal and Amber calls you out on your bullshit immediately, you know you fucked up lmao

now... i'm pretty sure that shame is a very important component of other EDs, such as bulimia or BED. binge eaters are usually ashamed of what and how much they consume. even bulimics, when they're having periods of eating more or less normally, tend to be ashamed of their eating habits (not to mention being triggered to binge when around palatable foods).
(if anything, their obsession with food mixed with the hunger for online asspats makes them post these super fit and healthy glamorous meals... that they either never eat or devour in one go right before ordering a pizza, but i digress).

to the point: would a person ashamed of their relationship with food post these photos? fucking fuck no and we all know it. does Tess have another ED that she's covering for with anorexia for vanity reasons? also fucking fuck no. am i MOTI because of this bitch and her immense disrespect towards people who are actually suffering from eating disorders? well, i wrote this entire essay on something roughly as probable as Guntal getting a WLS, so take a wild guess.

Ryann Hooves Delenda Est. At the very least, people online should "assist" her with her "recovery" by calling her Ryann from now on...to protect her from her anorexic persona/thoughts and put a protective degree of separation between her and her intrusive condition.

Count me MOTI as well. Again: Hooves is making a minstrel show out of a disorder that girls and women have often as a result of severe sexual trauma--abuse and rape--as well as physical and psychological trauma. Isabel Caro (she broke my heart) shouldered the BURDEN of feeling/believing that she was a BURDEN to her mother. She had other issues going on too, but for Ryann Fucking HOOVES to continue doubling down on this horseshit makes me sick.

It's not new per se. It's been a trope in FA and HAES for a long time. 300-pound Marianne Kirby, an OG Internet FA woke shrew, has always claimed that she got fat specifically because of restriction; she'd seriously call herself anorexic while posting pictures of the hot dog, potato chips, and grape soda she had for lunch. Lots of other women have made similar claims about destroying their metabolisms and hunger cues, starvation mode, etc. through dieting and disordered eating. They've been trying to make anorexia-lite a thing for years.

But it is new for this nonsense to be some badge of honor or a way to get loads of social media kudos, I guess. More people will latch onto this lie spread by Tess because a lot of them do want to lose weight (or, conversely, stay fat) but don't want to receive any criticism, lose their audiences, or be canceled by the angry fat mob.

I can sort of see the twisted HAES logic that led to this. Remember, HAES types believe in "starvation mode," and that the harder you restrict your calories the harder it becomes to lose weight. This makes sense to them, because they've failed at highly restrictive diets that led to them relapsing and packing on more weight. So presumably, the fatter you are, it's because you've restricted insanely hard.

Anorexia is all about restriction. Tess is huge. So by HAES logic, Tess is anorexic.

This isn't going to end Tess's career, IMO. Her core fanbase of overweight women is still there, and now Tess-the-celebrity is validating their own beliefs about starvation mode and the impossibility of weight loss. And as long as Fabletics and the mystery men stay interested in her, Tess's Wild Ride will continue.

As for her cake photos - she claimed she's in recovery now, so it's okay. What I find strange, aside from blatant lying lies, is her “I'm lost weight because I finally eat regularly, I am in recovery,” so there is no “weight restoring,” aka gain in her (announced) plans.

Why did she choose anorexia instead of EDNOS is lost on me. This could at very least loosely tie to anorexia and can explain “weight loss” by “regular eating”

EDNOS is a diagnosis that is often received when an individual meets many, but not all, of the criteria for anorexia or bulimia.

This is half of the definition of course, but at least its better cherry to pick than atypical anorexia

And to add my opinion, her “stop complimenting my weight loss!!1” sounds awfully similar to “yall ask me about my lipstick colour/you flooded my dm asking for my skincare tips, so here is the tea!”
That is, no one actually did that.

Does anyone notice a bit of weight loss on her? And we're watching like hawks here; archiving, screenshots, YouTube checking are proof for that. We noticed her lip injection, dress disappearance, photoshop, kid’s clothes and darkened phalanges, ffs, yet none of you, myself included, noticed a glimpse of size decrease, however small it might be.

The language Tess annd her fat followers has used interested me. Many of them have said “anorexia has always been for skinny girls…”.

For. Like it’s a gift, or honor. “LV makes clothing for skinny girls.” “I bought flowers for Mother’s Day,”.

People don’t stay “Getting raped is only for pretty girls.” “Death is for the young.”

The word for in that context means it’s desirable. I imagine many people who are 300 pounds overweight imagined or wished they had anorexia instead, but that’s a nightmare fantasy and nobody would really want it, They just imagine if they were going to have an eating disorder, it might as well be the one that makes them thin (which ignores the horror.).

It’s a weird word to use but I think it tells more about their mindset than they ever wanted. Check and see how many use it and give away that they think it’s desirable.
