It wasn't self-imposed. The time travel stuff needed Pym Particles to work and they "coincidentally" had enough for one trip each for everyone involved and the only person who could have made them, Hank Pym, had been snapped. They couldn't swipe too many from another time period, even just Steve and Tony breaking into the military base in New Jersey was risky, but it had both Pym Particles and the stone they were going after.
Except they did, which deflated the tension of that rule. It's the first storytelling flaw I noticed in Endgame on the day that I saw it. The hard and fast limitation on time travel got inconvenient, so they just ignore it.

Yes, I pointed it out. If you think too hard about MCU movies, you're gonna have a bad time.

Endgame is a fun movie and I'd be more than happy to fire it up any time I get bored, but IW is definitely the better written film of the two. Not a particularly original opinion I know but still.

Apparently this is what Ms. Marvel is gonna look like in the TV Show

What's with the current trope of casting latinx (/sneed) actresses as heroes and action stars that are really short? I surely can't be the only one who has noticed this. It's one of those odd tropes I don't quite get as being across the pond. Replace John Conner, tiny latin lady. What is the thought process behind that? What is that stereotype?

Looks ok but it seems to be like it's made out of whatever material the Danvers suit is, meaning they're opting out of "street level" Kamala and, like leaks suggested with CM 2, making her Carol's little sidekick. Considering street level Kamala is good and "Baby Avenger's Kamala" is shit, it seems like this show will be like the game was and miss the point why anyone liked the character.

See;
Aren't Latina/Hispansic women naturally short anyways? Just like how Hawaiian natives are typically wide?
But also are you asking because you think Kamala is Hispanic? It's a 16 year old Pakistani girl who is, canonically, shorter than the rest of her friends.

I wouldn't worry too much, the biggest issue with Kamala in the game is she's just a walking cliché. Granted a lot of her appeal is the self-insert fan thing but it was handled much better in the comics and for all its faults Marvel still mostly gets the character stuff right. I could be wrong, but I imagine a lot of the show will focus on street-level antics regardless of what the suit's materials are.

Thing of it is though, with that Champion's book they're trying to get more steam with, they pretty much strip her of the good personality and sort of make her a little asshole. If that's what they're angling for with her irl content, it's going to be a disaster.

It's a toss-up right now, but the actress does seem pretty chipper for the most part so hopefully they'll keep her like that down the line when we eventually get to Young Avengers.

It's still a trope though that they seem to want to make these non-white characters tiny.

I feel like it's some play against the idea of a big tall white male hero. Tiny brown female hero.

Most of the Ms Marvel cast are racially miscast. It's unfortunate.

You know the whole thing with for example, Columbian Penelope Cruz as a Brazilian in that Jessica Chastain movie. That, but applied to Ms Marvel cast

Even totally ignoring the social justard bullshit of a muzzie superhero that *doesn't* want to admiral ackbar everyone, Ms. Marvel is never going to look right in live action. For similar reasons as to why Mr. Fantastic has never looked right in live action (I know they don't have identical powersets, but they superficially look similar enough). That power set would look creepy as fuck in real life, and it looks creepy as fuck on film. I will stand by this and be the first to admit I was wrong if they end up making it look decent, but I really don't think that they will, especially on a television budget.

If they were really dead set on making this, it should have been a cartoon.

New costume looks like shit tbh.
Kamala’s appeal is that she’s essentially a kid playing superhero. Her stories are comfy, low level teen shit with a dash of Haram drama.
Giving her a high budget Hollywood costume completely goes against that whole deal of why people liked Kamala in the first place. It especially doesn’t help with her costume looking like it’s made from the same exact material every other MCU costume is made from.

It doesn't look that special. You want felt and spandex?
