Normally I would say he's got a good chance for an appeal but considering the circumstances I don't think that he can make it happen.
I don't know much about the american court system but isn't his case so fucked up that he can't hope to get a jury of unbiased people to judge him? And even if he would get such a jury wouldn't it be still impossible for them to give a fair trail for fear of retribution from the mob? Has there ever been such a case where there is no hope for a fair trail in the american court system? I'm quite curious about the proceedings.

Shit was bad back in the Prohibition era, complete with a lot of media outlets being pro-mafia and a lot of idiots in the public thinking mobsters were actually heroes because it meant they could get their booze. It took a very long time for Al Capone to get convicted and in his and many other cases jurors and witnesses often ended up dead or missing under mysterious circumstances.

The forewoman of the jury was juror 19, the woman who was excited to be in the jury and was pro BLM. With the only person in the world that can inform on your name and details in charge of you, why would you take the risk of voting not guilty?
