Awful "Epic gamer" PC cases

With all this talk about minimalism and pro GAMER builds on 1990s Gateway towers we gotta include the ones that go too far.

When you go to a lot of lan parties but need an excuse to REDPILL the NORMIES on the ILLUMINATI

I hate hate hate RGB lighting on any computer component, internal or external, and lose all respect for anyone who uses that shit.
It's getting hard to find a PC that doesn't come with it automatically at this point. Even walking down a Best Buy aisle, half the stuff including mice and keyboards have random lights all over them.

These days if you want good hardware without having to build your own rig, just get a good enough deal on a prebuilt or laptop and disable the RGB. Can be hard to do but there's usually a way.

Its almost impossible now. Because people expect it. My case has like 5 LED fans. (I keep them on red, which actually gets you better sleep so they serve some purpose). However, my RAM and Graphics Card are both RGB. I mean you can also probably turn it off.

Oh. Oh shit. That light coming through that vent on the top actually looks pretty neat on the wall like that.

I think eventually, the pendulum will probably swing in the other direction and we’ll have some more plain, understated, practical cases again.

I'd pay extra to get something without a fucking window and more internal drive bays. I think retrofitting the beige full towers is the move going forward.
If you don't mind a bit larger/heavier cases, check out ones by Fractal Design.
With the variants without a window you can leave the internal components on circus mode and not a bit of light will leak out even in the back.

I still have an old ATX beige tower in the attic. Brb gonna find me a hipster to sell it to.

I went the fractal design route and had to put electric tape over some led components of my own machine such as on the video card even with a solid side panel way too much light was getting out. I don't know if these people who love all the LEDs sleep in the same bedroom with their desktops but I can't stand it. I could tolerate it on the heat sink and that's about it.

But the problem isn't just with towers it's also with keyboards and mice. I actually had to look for a mechanical keyboard that had no LEDs, and that was easier said than done.
