Actual Character, her name is Sawyer. She’s a white cat. And I know that the movie was supposed to refeeence how black people weren’t allowed to be stars or main actors in Broadway/Hollywood but just make Sawyer bright skinned....it doesn’t need to be super obvious that she’s black.

I feel bad for light-skinned biracial people. Being potentially alienated by both racial groups you're a part of can cause some serious self-image issues. And SJWs ain't helping this out either...I still cringe at that one time a Japanese artist drew a " black coded" alien rock humanoid's skin 2 shades brighter than usual.

This controversy probably solidified Japanese artists from drawing anything remotely with dark skin (Except for Gangaru girls)

It's really a shame that SU was actually decent for a few seasons and then people had to go ahead and ruin that.
