Always remember 'The Killing Joke'. Not only is it an amazing Batman story, but it does show how one bad day can cause anyone to go insane, it's just how you cope with the trauma that affects you as a person.

I doubt Dobby is going in a murder rampage or something, to hurt others , but the guy has been building uo his depression for a long time.

I predict in two months time he will post an unbearably angsty and pretentious comic that features his smug-ass fursona giving a sanctimonious and holier-than-thou account of how the evil trolls and their PTSD-triggering harassment drove him to the brink of suicide.

I predict that around that time, we will wish he had offed himself.
 
It's amazing how lolcows manage to keep producing fresh milk. Chris comes back strong with his blarms, Phil resurfaces, Pixy gets back on social media, and now Dobson is threatening suicide over his inflation porn. Autism is the gift that keeps on giving.
 
The irony will be somewhat lost on Dobson that his hateful trolls possess the very quality he lacks but claims to champion.

Oh no, I'm not suggesting he's going to end up like The Joker, using his bad day to fuel a wanton spree of violence, nor am I suggesting he'll turn out like Batman, using his bad day as a force of morally grey good. I think he'll be more like Gordon, just throwing himself into his work Splatoon to cope with whatever perceived slight.

If he is faking of course...

Tell me about it. Every time I feel someone like Chris has all but disappeared from the internet, they always seem to come back with a vengeance.

Anyway, I kinda hope Dobson isn't trying to get sympathy points by faking suicide. That's a very scummy thing to do.
 
Took me some time to catch up with the past 7 or so pages. Sheesh.
Dobs was killing himself over the past 20 years by eating McDs garbage, I doubt he's gonna upgrade to a faster method any time soon, it seems like another update to the "woe is me" shtick. Either way, I'm wondering what's going to come next.

Convenience. It's convenient to think of yourself as a progressive, liberal person that supports minorities. Much more convenient than, say, admitting you enjoy watching girls kiss with their lower mouths.

It's pretty much the outcome when 90% of your socialisation happens online.
Dobson laments the fact how everyone behaves like an internet toughguy but he himself displays a very similar disposition: the lack of real consequences (like being punched in the face for saying something offensive/stupid) encourages him to be a diva 24/7.

Agreed! This is a very disheartening development indeed. Dobby was not even working on his own video game about being stalked by a household serial killer or begging the internet for a bicycle so he can learn how to ride it and be a true TransLatinx.

Dobson is your average attention seeking failed artist. and really what does he have to be happy about?
  • His penis has never known even the slightest touch of a woman. Not even a dirty handy-J in the bathroom of a convention center. Not even a gaze.
  • He is constantly barraged with negative criticism and chooses to grow bitter over it, rather than listen to it.
  • He has a harmless yet bizarre fetish, one only the most loving of partners would indulge, and probably only one, briefly on a special occasion. Something so unsexy and stupid it makes scat seem understandable in relativity.
  • He lives his life in a shroud of broken dreams. He was supposed to work for Disney, he was supposed to make it big with his doodles. Now he's forced to beg at conventions and on his website and toil in internet obscurity while others get the chances that he feels were stolen from him.
  • His comics were never funny but at least for a while they enjoyed a quiet dignity as a honest representation of Tom's thoughts. Now he doesn't even have that.
We could go on and on but really there's little point. Tom Preston/Andrew Dobdon is a sad, small little man who feels cheated by the world. A world that sneered at him and said "C'mon Tom. You can do better." while Tom screwed up his face and said "Fuck off troll. Deviant Art likes it."
