This comment is not about hypocrisy. To be fair, Stonetoss touched on that hypocrisy with his last comic. Law and Order.
And the same people literally saying ACAB and pro rioting using the death of a police officer during a riot as proof of right wingers being dangerous. My theory is as a counter reaction to BLM and their stance on police.
Although, it IS funny seeing those same people who bootlick police now oppose them when they don't do what they want.
They basically treat police as their public servants. Watch both of them turn into Karen's.And the same people literally saying ACAB and pro rioting using the death of a police officer during a riot as proof of right wingers being dangerous.
It's all reactionary.
Oh it is reactionary, but I'm pretty sure the underlying structure of this is rooted in the right to self defense. My theory is as a counter reaction to BLM and their stance on police.

This hits the nail on the head. Unfortunately as we've seen over the past seven months, self-defense doesn't matter anymore because cucked DA's will still charge you with the crime even when the dead are on video beating your skull into the ground.Oh it is reactionary, but I'm pretty sure the underlying structure of this is rooted in the right to self defense.
I'd take a wild guess there is a significant crossover between people who've watched the bodycam footage riots were justified in the name of, and people who got really supportive really quick.
After all, if the cops aren't allowed to shoot people in legit self defense...how in the fuck is the average person supposed to do so? The laws of self defense are supposed to apply equally, and the riots showed a lot of people that they aren't.
Perhaps an awkward reaction in light of more recent events, but between the riots showing police ordered to stand down and not protect the community from the riots, and the obvious agenda of those doing the rioting (you are not allowed to defend yourself from us or our sacred cows), I'd argue it is an understandable one.
StoneToss is actually funny though.I’d say he’s more like XKCD for righties.
That's not actually the problem with libertarianism. If everything was the fault of blacks/Mexicans then libertarianism would work fine in Iceland or Estonia or even Argentina, but it doesn't because completely unregulated corporations fall foul of the tragedy of the commons.Libertarians are pretty consistent on still needing courts, military, and police; they aren't anarchists.
Where Libertarians struggle is the fact that to properly assess the current state you need to admit that Mexicans and Blacks are the main groups causing problems, and you can't just keep saying that Liberals are Communists and Communists are the REAL Nazis.
They know completely removing the police will not solve anything - both in regards to the recent insanity, but also the high crime rates in certain areas - but they don't want to appear racist or fascist. This is where their ideology breaks down and they just ignore it whenever possible.
That's right; I wasn't trying to say every problem about Libertarianism, I was just talking in regards police. We can make a whole thread on modern libertarian shortsightedness and why it's current form seems to just be the right to say nigger, do drugs, and argue that 14 is pretty much 16 anyway. That's not actually the problem with libertarianism. Fishing quotas are a great example. The North Atlantic cod fishery was fished to near-extinction and collapsed. The Canadian government stepped in and limited fishing so cod didn't literally go extinct, and eventually numbers started to recover. Without state authority, the environment just gets completely destroyed for short term profit. Teddy Roosevelt knew this when he founded the national parks back in the day.
While I don't want this thread to go off topic, one of the main reasons that happened is that the USA has a rigid 2 party system which means that other parties don't really have a chance, so the libertarian party doesn't really try to go mainstream and ends up proposing all kinds of crazy nonsense (though I don't believe they want to remove age of consent laws). The kind of people who get attracted to a fringe party that won't win are often freaks and losers, similar to those who support fringe communist parties. That's right; I wasn't trying to say every problem about Libertarianism, I was just talking in regards police. Most European countries don't have the anglo two party system, yet they have a similar problem. Take the Netherlands, last election had a giant upset, with a very young party started 2015/2016 becoming the biggest (15ish % of vote). Seems like a strip that should've been held until next week. The punchline of "But everything is still screwed up!" works better when Joe's presidency is longer than 24 hours.
I mean, Antifa's already rioted in Portland, against Biden and attacking the DNC headquarters. I think they got the 'Normal' dial to the wrong August.Seems like a strip that should've been held until next week. I said a while ago that much of the worst Biden derangement syndrome will be from the far left. The right already had their tard rage outburst before the inauguration.I mean, Antifa's already rioted in Portland, against Biden and attacking the DNC headquarters. I wouldn't be surprised. They are even more deranged than Q followers, so it makes sense they'll be more deranged about politicians as well.I said a while ago that much of the worst Biden derangement syndrome will be from the far left. I don't think he means the punchline of 'but everything is still screwep up' but rather references the normalcy of US intervention in other countries and that he believes it islikely that with Biden the US will again become involved in an increasingly military role in foreign countriesSeems like a strip that should've been held until next week.
