This is as old as humanity itself. The Ancient Greeks related events to their myths, Euro Commanders/kings related themselves first to Christ and then to Roman/Greek commanders, Islamic commanders have been comparing their shit to Mohammed & his 9 year old wife since the 2nd Caliph.... it goes on and on.
The only thing new (and gay) is that while stories of Greeks/Romans/Islamists were likely embelished or otherwise had some distorted elements, they weren't straight fiction.

In a way, it's hilarious.
The Left rioted, burned Targets, mom and pop stores, murdered random civilians, had the complete run of cities and states for months, didn't do shit but get support from the elite and the politicians. They screamed ACAB and TEAR IT ALL DOWN for months, and did little more than show up at politicians houses and scare their wives and children.
A bunch of drunk Boomers occupied the Capitol Building, ran off the Secret Service, backed off the cops, and took pictures of themselves in politicians offices and standing right where Queen Pelosi rules from on high.
In one day they made ANTIFA and their allies look like asshole children.
The press HAS to downplay this, has to demonize the people who did this.
They made the Left's pet golem look like spastic retards in a single day.
In this had been serious, shit would be burning in Minecraft.
