Sooo. . .if I'm understanding your heavily strained & belabored extended metaphor, what you are saying is that Phil is a decent "vanilla cake" streamer and that if everyone in detractor restreams and on KiwiFarms would just go watch his streams directly and engage in approved DSP Chat memes like you do we would all actually enjoy that.

I'm sorry but your metaphor failed at it's inception when you equated what Phil broacasts himself doing as perfectly enjoyable cake.

If you have an issue with hyperbole, I hate to break it to you, but that isn't just limited to the culture/entertainment here. It pretty much applies to the internet as a whole. Hell, even a lot of comedic stylings offline tend to rely on some form of hyperbole.

Once again, I don't think you're in the wrong to say that some people do take the hyperbole too far sometimes/other people do believe/make up things about Phil. But what you're wrong about is the general lack of examples. You arguably do the exact same thing you complain about, you use hyperbole to make up these exaggerated situations/quotes that nobody has ever seriously said/imply, then you get in a huff whenever anyone calls you out on that.

Which, again, makes me think you're just here because of a specific issue you've had with the detractor community, likely one of the restreamers at that, given your obvious disdain for them. So, just spill the beans already and tell us who hurt your feelings.

I cant really get on the Twitch TOS and breaking it thing since well honestly it doesn't bother twitch when you complain. It's a platform to feed the more perverse clearly. I very recently performed an AltaVista search for "what is the best way to stick it to a bunch of people I think are retarded and come out looking like a champ" and a variety of results showed me that strawman arguments and hyperbole were possible ways of both winning AND earning respek. And, you called me a champ, which was part of my search query. This flat-out proves that not only was my method 103.78% correct and accurate, anyone else's assertions to the contrary are clearly just personal attacks upon my personal person. I do reserve the right to edit a post made in some other thread to further bolster this point.

Regarding "the incident" I feel like part of what made it so infamous was how Phil tried to vehemently deny it. It really cements a lot of Phil's cowish traits, denying something happened even when there's literal video evidence of him doing it, him being an incredibly poor liar and then trying to spin it as some kind of detractor conspiracy.

I mean, even if he embraced it, it'd still be an embarrassing incident and would be what most people know him for, but by denying it, he was just encouraging more people to share it, if for no other reason than to prove it happened. It was also getting a reaction from him, which was even more of a reason to not let him live it down. And it really seemed like more people were mocking him for the leg scratching excuse as opposed to the act itself.

Instead, he just went with the "leg scratch" narrative for so long. And I think at one point he tried to insist he knew the camera was on and it was actually Phil being the master troll? Feels like there was another excuse or two thrown out there before he begrudgingly admitted it happened and now just tries to brush it under the rug as being something from his immature days. At the end of the day, I don't think there's really a way to spin it as a positive, but he could have at least made an effort to do damage control and minimize the negative impact instead of doing the usual Phil thing and somehow making it way worse for himself.

Fair enough, and that's genuinely surprising, I thought he dragged the lies out for way longer. Or did he end up trying to backtrack and use the leg scratching excuse again? I could have sworn there was a point well after the initial incident took place where he tried to spin it when someone brought it up, unless it was Phil attempting to do some kind of self aware humor.

I wouldn't be surprised if he tried lying about it later on but nothing I've seen. I know in the chat after it happened is where the leg scratching came from. He also said something like: "I was doing various things and people think I was exploding with orgasms". I don't remember his exact wording but I do remember "exploding with orgasms". I don't know if he ever addressed it outside of the chat until the next day in that video I linked above.

While we're on the topic, another thing that gets misremembered is that after the... completion... of the incident, he didn't just immediately start streaming. There was probably a good 10 minutes between the famous throwing head back moment and the "Hello hello and welcome... Oh the camera's on!?" moment. The reason people think the blew his load and started streaming immediately after is that the most well known video of the incident edits out everything in between.

Ugh. I feel dirty defending Phil.
