My friend, you wouldn't say that to my face if I were hangovered.
This is one of the terms that's still missing from my Florian glossary.

Could you explain exactly what you mean by hangovered?

Does hangovered correspond more to the common understanding of being hungover? Or being drunk? Or something else?

Is intoxication a component of being hangovered? Or does one become hangovered only once the intoxication has worn off?

Why do you choose to use a neologism to refer to this condition instead of more common terms that might adequately describe it?

I have swings. I don't want you to think it's bipolar swings, because only (B/a) choline/dopamine is manic, and everyone else is only appropriately depressed.

There is a tremendous personality change that occurs when I de-autisticize, and I become impossible to describe as autistic. The two routes to de-autisticize are choline and adrenaline, and adrenaline is Type A: egotistical.

I de-autisticized via choline naturally, well into the night. One of the tragedies is the resulting 4am sleeplessness, which is just another way to broadcast that you're mentally ill.
Why do you think you know with such certainty that "choline" alone is responsible for the symptoms you describe here, and the other chemicals for the other symptoms?

I miss pseudoephedrine. The only cold medicine that ever actually made me feel better.
You miss it? It’s quite commonly sold behind the counter and, where I’m from, the only barrier is age/quantity purchased by any individual per day/per 30 days.

I mean the hangover effect, which I relied on, and which is what people on /r/hangovereffect are furiously trying to understand. Why do they feel better when they're hangovered, and isn't it a shame that every doctor will simply resolve it into a drinking problem?

I resolved the hangover effect as a flatlining of choline and dopamine, leaving you with adrenaline and serotonin psychopathy. You should probably get over my low-level neologism, it's barely a change from the word on the books. "Hangover effect" is a shitty name, but I didn't name it, so that's to be expected.

De-autisticization events are paired by a single instance of coprolalia. That's my immediate indicator to gauge my body and how it feels. It was comparatively recently that I came to realize there was more to it than Carbonation Grimace Or None: obviously you see there are many presentations. So I check myself for carbonation grimace (which is different between types O and lowercase b) and then my body is either adept in the lower half or the more relevant upper half, and my personality is different to boot.

Sudafed PE de-autisticizes me into the lower half. That's adrenaline. Cholinergics I don't have, but plain choline I do, and plain choline is consistent with the upper half, Type B.

I really think you could benefit from attempting meditation.

When I do it it helps me visualize my nervous system and circulatory system as one, giant connected thing, despite it being an amalgam.

I know it's hard, but from what I've heard, in Buddhist temples they have a class of students sit down and meditate in a grid pattern.

The monks come around with a stick and whip anyone who is thinking. Those who participate in this are shocked by their accuracy.

It's simple body language, but it's also a testament to the tie between body and mind in us all.

And after years of this training, a monk can free their mind of thoughts so acutely, that they can set themselves on fire and not move.

Have you tried measuring your blood alcohol content when you are hangovered?

Unless you can prove your BAC is 0.00 during the hangovered state, the simplest explanation is that you're still a little intoxicated during the early parts of a hangover, and your feeling of mental clarity is largely just contrast with the more-drunken version of you from the hours before.

Would you agree this is a correct application of Occam's Razor?

I am a post-doc fellow with a PhD in Functional Endocrinology and couldn't help but add my two cents to this discussion.

Inasmuch as adductive (primarily lowerface) affect is essentially performative, so too is the abductive (upperface) affect. The adductive affect, in the words of Bonnie Nettles, “begins with the simple application intestinal materiel to the cheekbones to supplant PLP in glutamic acid decarboxylase” (Nettles, 1997).
I wish this was a genuine quote of Bonnie Nettles (leader of Heaven’s Gate cult), but alas, she’d beamed up to the Next Level before 1997.

Did she drink pop, though?

No, because "the simplest explanation is most likely" is not Occam's Razor.

A better version is "if you can explain all the observed data without part of an explanation, you can ignore that part of the explanation."

I had a blood test for .027 where the legal limit is .080. I used to rely on hangovers to achieve writing ability. It's NOT like being drunk. It's exactly like adrenaline-and-serotonin achieved more directly with SSRIs (and as a matter of fact Haldol helps the psychopathy).

I'm saying four neurotransmitters - adrenaline, dopamine, serotonin, choline - and every one of them is like the next except adrenaline/serotonin and choline/dopamine. Those are aberrations, and the first one is psychopathy. I feel like I'm creating a beautiful and simple theory that explains many things at once without the excess to be razored.

Doesn't Occam approve?

@henstepl how do you explain people with congenital blindness (born blind) being immune to schizophrenia? (Also immune to other forms of psychosis)

The fact there has never been a case of schizophrenia in a person born without sight in recorded history has mystified doctors for decades and they think it might hold the key to explaining the causes or mechanisms of schizophrenia and some other mental illnesses with psychotic episodes.

That's an interesting fact. There's aspects of my mind that I haven't shared that are frankly geometric - but too tedious for anyone without Florian syndrome. I can only guess that there is an allotment of the brain for the visual space, and it interacts with the space for everything else.

As a case in point, anticholinergics don't cause "blurred vision", they cause there to be space behind the eyes. What has to fill that space?

Well, I’m all for personal liberties and the whole adults in the privacy of their own home thing when it comes to cannabis and psychedelics, but meth is a whole different story. Meth addiction kind of proves that a lot of people don’t have the agency to realize meth is a bad idea in the long run. It doesn’t end well, and it seems they can’t conceptualize that.

I’ll play Devil’s advocate though and acknowledge that letting them kill themselves off with the meth is Darwinism at work, but it’s not always a quick death. We DO have to deal with these societal dregs in the meantime. Much like our friend here, they contribute pretty much nothing to the rest of us. At least Stephen is somewhat entertaining while stealing large sums from what we bring home to our families.
