The best gimmick account was Toblerone Triangular who spent literal YEARS pretending to be some kind of schizophrenic combination of QAnon, Alex Jones and Time Cube guy, posting long bizarre screeds with a vague conspiracy/illuminati angle in the middle of political discussions, and people would lose their fucking minds arguing with him because he'd respond with even more complex gibberish (often including actual diagrams), whilst just about riding the line of plausibility like he was using Poe's Law as a rulebook. One day he admitted he'd made everything up to fuck with people and it emerged that almost no-one thought he wasn't genuine.

There used to be some majestic fakeposters out there. Wishes for Death/Fish Steer a Dhow/Deaf Whore Shits/Fall Sick and Die was one of the better ones, he did a thread as a young black man who had been adopted as an infant from Sudan by a white American family, returning to Africa to discover his roots and lecture his birth family on the wonders of communism and atheism. Sounds more like he's actively encouraging the rioters to commit more murders because that would mean less opposition to the riots, and the fact that he got a sixer and "Don't do this" was basically an attaboy from the mods.
