She didn't make $1,300. She made likely $400, then had to pay shipping on every single order (which I did not realize till now). Just wait till she has to refund for lost/damaged packages cause good luck getting your money back from the postal for it.

If every item was on the most expensive end, with a sales total of $1380 she had 17 orders, with a commission of about $400. You can ship for like $10 or cheaper within the USA. She loses $170 fulfilling orders. This leaves $230.

Note that if all her orders were the cheapest items, she would have had about 43 orders, with $800 commission assuming the same markup and a wholesale tshirt price of $10 (with free shipping, though this price is likely higher unless ordering in bulk). Shipping would be $460 leaving her with $340.

As you can see, there is a fair amount lleft even after fulfilling orders regardless of what the average order cost was. This would still be true even if the wholesale prices were a few dollars higher due to her not ordering in bulk.

Tldr: she's LYING.

I'm not sure what site she's selling on- but places like Redbubble, and Society6 I believe or Zazzle Sell, Make AND Ship the items for you. She doesn't have to ship or sell anything if she's selling on a site like that. It's why those sites aren't viable to actual creators. Way back when, I used one of them, and even if I sold $70 worth of stuff in a month, I would in the end, make maybe $10 at the most, because the fees from the site to produce and sell this item happened.
Also you pay for shipping on TOP of the original price, so if she has something listed for $30, the shipping would still be a separate $7, making the total closer to $40 with the original price, taxes and shipping.
If she's not producing any of this product, then she's not budgetting anything for creation since you're free to make this art and post it- each item is individually made upon purchase on most sites. Again, I don't know shit about w/e she's using. But these sites are reasons most artists think that their profession can't support them and quit- or they smarten up and start making the products themselves/working with manufacturers directly.
Also any site you buy on that doesn't allow you to cancel an order/get a refund is MAD sus and not somewhere you should be working.

Also I know all of this as someone who for the past 10 years has actively been involved in making merch/selling at conventions and etc.

Edit: My explaining is confusing rereading this, lemme chill on the crackhead shit and re-explain better for myself:

-Rabbie isn't making her own merchandise, meaning she's using a middle party to produce, sell AND ship her shitty stuff for a portion of the sales.
-If she sells it for $30, shipping is added separate on top of taxes. An order can total $40 at the end, but about 80% of the original price and all shipping costs will go to the merchandise producer usually. Meaning she may make only $2.50 or so off of the sell of a $30 item.
-Since the producer/the middle seller is the creator AND shipper of this in actuality, there's no way she's shipping things physically from her own place.
-If she's using a site like this- it's only made per purchase (meaning it'll be god awful quality at that) so she put no funds into ordering from a manufacturer. She lost no money in creating this, nor did she pay beforehand to have merch made, then sent to her, where she will sell it.
-To break up how the manufacturer takes the money: Their part in the money covers the expenses to create this item, and the fee to use their site and list said item. They can charge however much they want to do this, in the long run. Most of this sites have shady practices and sources for those who do manufacter them. (IE: Child works, Sweatshops, etc etc but this has no fact I can pull up atm and is alleged so I don't get sued LMAO)
