I think that the mindset of "if you say you're trans, you're trans" came about in the face of the "gatekeeping" that troons complain about relentlessly.Every time I see a troon says something along the lines of "Being [insert being a boy/ girl ] simply requires feeling that you are one] I question if it is planning or just a shallow urge. I think it's more accurate to say that trooning out is a result of planning based around a shallow urge.
As though the psychological and societal requirements for becoming trans that were universally mandatory once upon a time were somehow discriminatory or unfair.
Obviously, making literal-life changing decisions that cost thousands and can (and do) have profound knock-on effects to mental health shouldn't have any oversight, right guys? Should just be a walk-in procedure that you get done on your lunch break, like getting your nails done...
It's kinda sad that people who are that profoundly broken and unhappy with their lives seem to genuinely believe that trooning out will be the cheat code for life.
It's sad as fuck that for a lot of them, it actually is; all their toxic AF behaviour swept under the rug because "muh transishun/dysphoria".
