She said "womb cancer" so it's uterine. Apparently she's been bleeding out her huge vagina for months non-stop and never went to get it checked, probably because walking to the car is like a triathlon for her body. I've watched enough My 600 lb life to know that any kind of surgery at her current weight is a huge risk. I'm rooting for her, but damn. She's known for a long time something was seriously wrong and she was too lazy to do anything about it, probably because she knew she would be told, "lose the weight or die within a year." It may be too late.

That's what worries me the most. Oncologists are notoriously bad for communicating end-of-life care for their patients, especially in America where hospitals have a financial incentive to get their patient to get as much treatment as possible. Even when they do actually tell the patient that their cancer is terminal, the patient usually ends up thinking that they might be cured with chemo, even though chemo will just buy them time. If Amberlynn's cancer really is stage IV, then she's going to die, full stop. If she is terminal, I truly want her to be comfortable at the end, not fighting for some impossible cure.

Even stage II or III would be difficult for her to make it. Being very obese and having a ton of other co-morbidities means she is weakened and less able to handle both the disease and treatment.

The current argument is "she has to be telling the truth about having cancer because her reaction was exceptionally genuine".

Here's what potentially could've happened: the doctor told ALR that it seems like she has some precancerous cells in her uterus, and ALR being a dumb cunt with selective hearing interpreted this as "you have stage 3 uterine cancer".
As an example, think of toddlers freaking out over the "got your nose" trick: are their noses actually gone? Obviously no, but that doesn't mean their reactions aren't genuine, because in the toddlers' undeveloped mind IT IS what happened, it's what they comprehend, it's their reality, their truth.

The reason I find this very suspect is because she won't show any documentation or general proof that she was actually diagnosed with cancer. Taking a 5 minute look at munchie behavior is all it takes to understand that these people milk the shit out of their medical "souvenirs" because it's actually legit and gets them attention. They love posting photos of their hospital wristbands, medical documentation, test results, etc. ALR is so hellbent on proving to everyone she's not a liar (eg the call to the urologist office to prove the voicemail wasn't faked) so what's stopping her from showing actual medical proof?

Here's what I think is happening: Amber genuinely believed she had cancer, the crying in that video was 100% real. A few days later, probably after another checkup, the doctor must've realized there was some miscommunication and explained what's actually happening to her in simpler terms. Amber isn't smart but she has enough braincells to realize "shit, I can't reveal the truth, I already went in so deep" it would mean that not only did she play her audience for sympathy, this time she also played her real life friends and family. Better to keep up the facade than confess she made a mistake.

I'm not saying there's absolutely no way she actually has cancer, it's 50/50 IMO. It's just that following her for so damn long, you gotta understand that you must take everything she says with a fucking bucket of salt.

If it's the one in Lexington, it's Markey Cancer Center, huge facility on UK's campus and part of the UK hospital system. It is the main place for a lot of Kentuckians to go for various cancer treatment that isn't in Louisville. The floor for genetic testing was the breast cancer treatment and screening floor, so they definitely are treating female cancers. I guess she could go to the other one, but I would wager she's going to Markey as it is very extensive.

Then there's the issue of her obesity. She's too big for MRIs, right?

Amber has the life skills of MAYBE an 8-year-old, and suddenly, she's thrust into the medical equivalent of passing Calculus IV at Columbia. Barring intervention from a competent adult and/or an extremely, magnificently compassionate person from the ER, Amber won't have access to pertinent info any time soon.

Yep, several of us have mentioned that. We all know she often hears what she wants to hear, is mindboggling stupid (yes, you CAN SO put hair conditioner on your face as a moisturizer, haydurs!) and blows every molehill into a mountain, Bonus, she is a pathological liar, something else we know all too well. You summed it up perfectly. Amber won't find out which stage she is at until they open her up and see which organs the cancer has spread to. It's not unusual that she wouldn't know her stage after just having been diagnosed. From what she said in her livestream it looks like her cells are grade two. It's not surprising that she doesn't know much else when all doctors could do so far is take a sample of whatever she was spewing from her "period hole" and examine that.
Amber deals with all her health problems by NOT dealing with them. The cancer diagnosis freaked her the fuck out and she hasn't bothered doing any research about how she could help herself. The more she interacts with specialists, the more uncomfortable truths she is going to hear. If nobody tells her that she's terminally ill, she can pretend that she isn't. She will maybe go to a few appointments until she is told that she has to lose weight, that she can't be operated on because she's too fat, that chemotherapy will be less effective on her for exactly the same reason, and that she can't afford any of those treatments anyways. Then she'll stop bothering, maybe make a few videos cryeen and go back to business as usual until she dies.

No doctor is going to bother running after a patient and finding answers for them. Especially not if that patient doesn't have insurance, weighs 500 pounds and reeks of noncompliance.

Would an EKG even work on her or would they just use ground penetrating radar at this point?

Did she really get diagnosed over the phone? That's highly unusual if true. I've never heard of anyone getting a cancer diagnosis over the phone, most places won't even give you useless test results over the phone let alone a cancer diagnosis.

If she does truly have cancer, she's going to have a hell of a time finding a doctor that will do anything surgical at her weight. Huge liability as that much adipose tissue fucks with anesthesia and makes it less predictable. Obviously anesthesia is done by weight but that much fat tissue messes with how its processed by the body (visceral fat gets less blood flow than subcutaneous fat) and there's a fine line between "fuck, she's gonna wake up and we're not done with the surgery yet" and "andddd we killed her. Call it so we can goto lunch".

And let's not forget, the facility has to be able to handle her size. Most standard operating tables can only hold a max of about 140kgs (a little over 300lbs) which means it can only hold half of her. Bariatric patients present an entire host of issues even before cutting them open and idiots like Amber don't understand it's not as easy as "get a bigger operating table". You need bigger doorways for gurneys, different surgical tools, special lifts as a standard hoyer lift isn't holding her unless it's the bariatric/heavy duty model, more staff to help, bigger rooms for aftercare with bariatric bathroom fixtures (shower and toilet mainly) and so on. Then there's the little issue of tracheal intubation which can already be difficult on a regular person (depending on what their airway looks like) but someone her size? Yeah fuck that. Guaranteed they'll need sonography there in order to find a vein and run a line. Throw in her sleep apnea, and that's an insanely high risk surgery if I've ever seen one. Without insurance, that bill will rival a mortgage and Im not kidding. I know she lives in BFE, hopefully they've got a bariatric unit.

Forgive me if I missed it, but did she start a GFM yet? Usually that's one of the first things she's does.
