It's like that with every riot in America past 1990. Always a large portion of vandalising is done by white college kids who pop a boner at the idea of being like Che.

There’s tons of videos with crowds of black people throwing shit and breaking windows with a few whiteys and Hispanics mixed in. It is mostly black people doing the vandalizing and looting.

On one hand some protesters were likely bussed in (like the Unicorn Riot streamers most likely), but on the other hand that seems like a great CYA tactic. Anyone who knows the littlest about hood culture knows that "no snitchin" is one of the core values. Plus stealing TVs from a store pisses off less people in the hood than killing one of their homies/children or selling drugs, so of course they'll deny it's them. If anything they don't give a fuck about stealing from a corporate store/whitey/an "uncle tom" compared to if their own property is stolen.

Protests tend to get worse when there's no repercussions involved as well. Nothing snuffs out protests and violence there like the fear of going to jail for decades if not life.
