Not exactly sure what you mean. If the House passes impeachment articles, the Senate has to take them seriously.

As much as I'd love Cocaine Mitch to say "we're not even going to touch those, GTFO" and continue as if impeachment never happened, doing the trial and getting the vote is the proper way to do things. It is a shitshow, but the crazy started in the House, and the Senate is forced to tamper it down.

I'm kind of hoping he does go nuts and just calls every witness Trump wants and none that Pelosi wants. Given the shitty evidence the House gathered, that might even be the correct thing to do. But then again, I'm a shitposting Kiwi who loves flame wars, and not a Constitutional expert.

They've basically got that in the form of a "kill switch" in their rules, which is basically that if Democrats start acting up as they did in the House, Mitch can call a vote to shut the whole thing down right then and there.

I'd love to see just Trump's witnesses as well, but not only that, if Democrats start whining how unfair it is their witnesses won't be called, Senate Republicans should force them to answer these questions:

"How can we be fair to you when you refused to give the president a fair trial as well as refused to allow Republican witnesses to testify? Also, how do you consider an impeachment that was only passed by your party and received bipartisan opposition, a fair impeachment?"

The Romney, Murkowski, and Collins corner feel like they’re eager to let in the various anti Trump witnesses without questioning why they’re even there. What McConnell and others seemed to want is to depose witnesses first and then decide whether they’re relevant.

It was all terrible until Obama's election made his wife proud of the country for the first time; then 8 years later it was all double-terrible again. (Unless it was only great for whitey, and terrible for everyone else; in which case FDR and his legislation was super problematic, ya'll.)

Trump should hammer this at his rallies. Really, the lefty media was trying to maintain a very thin line between Antifa types and the Alt-right types because Charlottesville resulted in one death and Antifa has not directly killed anyone (publicly).

I am so glad I don't know anyone who would actually care enough to pay for products like this, or even receive them for free. But I've done a pretty thorough job of cutting crazy people from my life.

I get my fix of crazy from zoos like this.
