There were cheers about his free time and how wonderful it would be for him to end his stream earlier. He used his soy voice to answer and said something like "Ha, ha, yeah, but you know how it is. Job is job. I need to earn money even though I would really like to spend my time with Kat downstairs".
It was officially confirmed that Khet is in his stream too. Don't see why she would not send him a small cheer/tip

Phil often gets baited to talk about his "adult" life or Katherine. Him using a soy voice isn't a gotcha since he's a clown.

He talks about 8 hours a day. It's quite normal to butcher some words but I partly agree. "Has a big vocabulary" would be a better way to put it
Does someone actually have a big vocabulary if they don't know how to use it? Phil knows OF big words, but he rarely if ever uses them correctly. Hell sometimes he just makes words up. It's a common enough occurrence a thread was made about it.

I know I've posted a fair amount of these already, but I've never heard him solving a math question out loud (and fucking it up). That was until I came across this:

DSP Tries It: basic math (37 + 6 = 42) [Out Loud Edition]

At the very least it's proof these things aren't (purely) the result of typos or him being careless. No, he literally manages to fuck up a toddler-tier calculation because of... reasons? Fuck if I know. It's fucking exceptional, that's what it is.

Has he ever made a mistake the other way? Done incorrect math so the total is more than what he got? Could this be something where he's trying to m.ilk more money out of his audience?
Yes. As a matter of fact, he did it only moments later during the same stream:

87 + 5 = 93 (The only source for this unrecorded segment was DarkDave's re-stream, hence the music. Nothing I could do.)

I'd love it so very much if an institute of higher education granted someone with dyscalculia a business degree.

You maybe right. Phil said he favorite subjects were English and literature when someone asked him about his vocabulary but it's probably a lie.
He misuses a lot of words/phrases but he also very autistic about it and he won't repeat his mistake if you point it out.

I don't think Phil's stupid. He's of average intelligence, but he's a paranoid liar who drinks and can't keep his lies straight, so he gets caught in tons of, um, incorrect statements. Stating blatantly false things all the time makes anyone sound dumb, and Phil is no exception.

If you think Phil is legitimately re.tarded, you might have to take a look in the mirror. He's clearly of around average intelligence but extremely NPD so he believes he knows words that he doesn't. If you think he's re.tarded, you haven't been around enough people.

Exactly and the only reason he has it is because he's had Learn a Word a Day calendar on his desk.for years.. absorb data and use it the way you want not the way it was intended to be used - that's the DSP way. He's pointed them out in videos back in the day. I'd say he maybe uses the app now but he never really updates anything until he's forced to so in this case unless the company went out of business then he probably still has one on his desk.

I really suspect this too. He will use some new word out of fuckin' nowhere and then it might be used again a day later to repeat his nonsense preaching then find another word he learns to somehow fit in for his other broken record speeches, then just completely stop using it all together.

An App is possible, but I'm sure they have a button to hear how to pronounce it. A worded pronunciation has too many weird foreign symbols for Phil to truly understand, which might be why he has a lot of mispronunciations.

Lurker's first post here, so I apologize if this is something that has been discussed many times already, but it's something that I've always wondered.

Do you guys believe that Phil plants fake donations sometimes? As in, giving people money and asking them to tip him, to make it look like he's always successful on his "marathons".

I say that because I've noticed that his reaction to tips vary dramatically. I've seen him getting like 40$ tips and being completely nonchalant about it, and then on other times he gets like 30$ tips and is very happy with it. Which lead me to believe that some of the "large tips" he receives come from his own money, and since he's a bad actor he does not make it look like he is genuinely happy about getting them.

Or maybe I'm just thinking that Phil is too much of a scammer and exaggerating on his lack of decency. Just food for thought.

the variation of clown mode after tips depends if the whale told dave he was already going to tip big

I don't know what the fuck you guys are talking about with Phil having a high verbal IQ, being even of average intelligence, or even having autism which can be a positive trait when it comes to being able to learn something that needs repetition.

It's quite obvious he is below the bell curve and this is where all the humor in watching him comes from. He watches wrestling and plays mobile gacha games in his spare time. He has tons of debt and obviously can't plan ahead. His command of the English language is laughable and he repeats phrases that he thinks sound smart ad infinitum. He doesn't like any music and probably hasn't read a book since college.

If you think Phil is legitimately re.tarded, you might have to take a look in the mirror. He's clearly of around average intelligence but extremely NPD so he believes he knows words that he doesn't. If you think he's re.tarded, you haven't been around enough people.
Having trouble solving puzzles in games meant for children, having a mere basic knowledge of the English language even though it is the only language you know and literally needing a calculator for basic addition (I believe it was 78 + 25 a while ago) seem like things that point towards average intelligence to you? He might have BEEN smart, but not doing anything mentally for a decade while boozing up on gin takes its toll. When is the last time he has done anything mentally challenging?

But if to you those are things that fall in line with 'average intelligence', more power to you...

DSP calls Nocouture "he", corrects himself by saying "he or she", emphasizing it heavily, but then uses "he" again twice within a matter of seconds.

Failed attempt at acting like he doesn't know who Nocouture is or what their gender is, or simply defaulting to "he" just because he doesn't think before he talks?
