I'm looking for your honest opinions: What is worse for Vic? Loosing the appeals after loosing TCPA? Or would it have been worse for him not to sue at all?
I'm looking at the broader picture here. I think it's safe to say at this point he's not going to get VA work with the bigger studios now. Funimation is not going to rehire him, Viz hasn't contacted him in months. His con situation also seems to be independent from the lawsuit, he's not going to get invited to most of the big cons (except of AM), he still gets invited to small cons. He did get to go to Kamehacon thanks to Ty. His reputation is fucked, there are a group of people who will hate him either way and nothing will change that. Thanks to the lawsuit, people now know he fucked whores and unsuccessfully tried to live out a twin fucking fantasy. No, this doesn't bother us, but it reinforces other people's hate for him.
After the Projared situation, I sometimes just wonder if Vic should've simply made a video as a response after a few months, denying everything and showing all the receipts that internet sleuths collected, stuff that didn't even make it into the lawsuit. What would have changed? He wouldn't have been hired back or hired by other big companies, just as it is now. A lot of people would have supported him, a vocal minority would have hated him, just as it is now. But he couldn't have "lost" a video, right? He can lose the lawsuit though and him loosing appeals is going to actually reinforce the vocal minority that hates him.
Sorry for long post, I've been thinking
