Well he has an extensive gun control background, fathered legislation that became the basis for the ACA, moves around the country to basically steal elections from other republicans, and has a history of backstabbing conservative movements. He’s not nearly as bad as McCain was, because at least he’s not quite the same level of Warhawk and complete bastard, but he’s still the last major embodiment of Republican In Name Only.

I'm honestly surprised at how much Trump has actually gotten done. I expected full goverment gridlock and shutdown when he got elected. I didn't yghink that he would actually go after things the way he has done. I voted for him to be a hand grenade that would cause major dissatisfaction such that it would lead to flushing out the long term establishment. That he's done so much while still causing conniptions and salt in people is even better. Despite some things I don't agre with him on, he's not even that bad of a president. Even when he might be lying to us, it's at least wrapped up in his showmanship and not obviously apparent like others.

The sad thing is that many Red states are becoming blue because of the mass exodus of Dems leaving high tax blue states (California, New York, New Jersey) and moving to low tax Red states. Once the blue flow starts, it floods Red states and they turn blue. New Hampshire is a perfect example of the one Red New England state going blue around the time Obama took office. Dems from MA, NY and other high tax states moved to "No Income & No Sales Tax" NH and brought their political beliefs with them. The next thing you know, the state legislature turned blue and guess what they wanted to do? Create a sales tax.
The moral of the story is, if dems leave high tax blue states and move to low tax Red states, they will want to increase or create new taxes in formerly low or no tax states.

The problem is they know it was bad where they came from, but they don't realize why, they'll rationalize it somehow, claiming shitty individual politicians or urbanization did it, never realizing they wrecked their state by turning it into a one party welfare state
