I know the sub made it ambiguous but I haven't really gotten to the Dub portion where the flashbacks occurs did they really do that? I mean they made a dual little boy/girl voice for yubel in the Dub and then throw it away in favor of yubel being a guy turned demon chick?

Also understandable why they would make that change in the Dub. They also pulled the old lover-friend change up with Yubel's character as well. You know, where one teen is in love with the other teen in the Japanese version but they decided to change it to best friend in the dub because heaven forbid teens actually have non overly exaggerated hormones in an anime dub.

As much as I dislike Monica I do hope that she gets out of her relationship with him, even if nothing has happened yet his past behavior raises so many red flags and he is sure to be a repeat offender.
