Billy actually has the discipline required to lose the weight. If Billy discovered that a convention he was at had no healthy food as Boogie claims he would probably just not eat until he had a chance to grab something healthier because Billy won't take any excuse he can to stuff his face.
To Billy, hedonistic gratification isn't worth his life. Boogie seems to be of the mind that if he can't stuff his face with fat then life isn't worth living.

I'm honestly really proud of Billy. He's done more with sheer determination and willpower than Boogie could through getting half his stomach hacked out and making far more money than Billy does, which would afford him the ability to actually buy quality healthy foods. If Boogie just decided that every meal would be a salad with lite dressing he'd be shedding pounds. Probably doesn't help that Boogie is constantly on Twitch playing video games and complaining, which only contributes to his sedentary lifestyle, whereas Billy actually gets out and fucking does things.

I think it's funny that Billy said on Twitter that Boogie is "motivation" to him. Not an inspiration, mind you, motivation is the exact word he used. That can be taken in different ways. Such as "Seeing you fail has motivated me to succeed."

On a bit of a side note, I actually used to like Boogie, I used to see him like most (ignorant) people saw him: as a huge teddy bear that was nice to everyone. Of course at the time it upset me that Anita Sarkeesian screeched at him during that one Vidcon, but now I'm quite aware that they're perfect for each other. Amazing how this guy managed to obfuscate his true personality for so long, but even now on Twitter the mask is starting to slip off.

On twitter it has become apparent that he lacks a lot of wisdom and eloquence, which is almost more damaging for a youtuber than it being found out that he's a dick. I think that his hypocritical, abusive, sexually-harassing, thirsty side is still being covered up by his misguided fanbase. As long as he has them, the mask wont fully come off, and if he does drop his twitter habit, he might actually succeed in keeping his remaining fans.

Yeah the main problem he has is that he never thinks twice and actually reads through his own tweets. He seems to be using it on impulse, which never ends well. A lot of celebs seem to have this issue, always specifically with Twitter.

I think you've experienced the same as a lot of people and that's why they care enough to read this thread and S&T. He's actually despicable and it's cathartic to see his reputation crumble.

Anyone have any thoughts on what his childhood was really like? I was already doubting a bunch of it since he said that the draw my life wasn't what really happened and that it was much more tragic, etc.

OK first off, I believe most of his "abuse" isn't completely fabricated, but way overblown. Like in his most recent "abuse" story, he claimed his mom hit him with a hammer...after he suddenly opened the door while she was hammering it. Pretty sure she hit him once by accident, and he just went and claimed she intentionally did it several more times. What really seemed suspicious was when he said they were too poor to afford to go on a field trip, which his mom wasn't even aware of until she was dropping him off, and then she had to go to the bank to get the money for the field trip they couldn't afford in the fucking first place, then clawing at him and him jumping out of the moving car in fear without anyone stepping in afterwards. I imagine he forgot his permission slip, and his mom was yelling at him while driving back home to pick it up and he sperged out and jumped out of the moving car in some insane tantrum. For fuck's sake, if his mom was so abusive and hellbent on destroying his life to the point of intentionally overfeeding him, why would she pay for college!?

I also seriously doubt he played video games past Atari. He was like 8 years old when the video game crash happened, and when the NES came out when he was in 7th grade, it was marketed as a children's toy. The oldest "NES kids" who grew up with it (and by extension gaming into adulthood due to their different experience) are at least 4 years younger than him; gamers his age played on home computers during the NES era. Yet he says in a 2012 video embedded in the first 50ish(?) pages that not only did he play NES, he actually rented and beat every NES game available at the local video store. How the fuck did he beat all those NES games when he won't even touch Dark Souls? :story: He never even recalls anything like liking a certain game as a kid, like literally any other gamer does. He has no "history" with video games other than MMOs, why else would he suck so bad?

IMO he overblows his experience with MMOs too. I said it before but he plays wow as if someone's dad hopped on. He might have been big into Everquest in its heydey but iirc he was in his late 20's when WoW came out. I sincerely doubt he ever vanilla wow raided like he claims.

Boogie is like a perfect Gamestop employee. He can shoot the shit about literally anything gaming related but his knowledge is all surface level when you get to know him more.

The main thing with the Francis character that makes it such shit IMO is that other than the few physical freakouts that me and my friends thought were funny when we were in 8th grade, pretty much all his commentary videos are just parroting more cynical popular opinions while raising his voice. Is it really that fucking hard to think of actual stupid shit for him to say? Bored 13-year-olds can come up with retarded shit to say to piss people off online all the fucking time (see super minecraft kid and my Yahoo Answers questions when I was 13), how hard is it for a grown man who does this shit for a living to do the same?

Fucking hell, the few original thoughts he has like "gays should've waited 20 more years" and "hate speech should be punishable by prison time and already is illegal in the US," would be perfect for an "intentionally retarded" character like Francis.
