What I'm mostly saying is I don't see the camera picking him up at 8:08, or at 11:33, when the camera looks up those few steps into that pulpit area. A few pages back someone posted a shitload of pics of the pulpit area, so I looked at it in his camera view, which is admittedly terrible quality. I don't see the guy in there, and those pics a few pages back made it look like there was very little concealment up there, with that low railing/wall. Shooter got a good look up there at least twice, and didn't see anything worth shooting at either.

So I'm skeptical that the moslem could have been crouched down up there watching everything through a 'hole in the wood', but it's hard to say for sure with this video quality.

So pretty much what a lot of westerners (and more) have been feeling the last years, but I'm quite certain he considers their reactions as islamophobia that leads to attacks like Tarrant's and should be dealt with.

It gets even worse when they show another speaker at ~4.30 and he rhetoric could have been taken straight out of Tarrant's manifesto. It's a call to fight back which is very reminiscent of what you would find on /pol/, but when our main subject is (very mildly) pushed on it, he says he's not concerned it's going to inspire "the average muslim" kid to become extremist (~2.50). Not the most reassuring words.

They just say due to Christchurch massacre which isn't really a reason because Jordan Peterson's book and the massacre are not related. If this is about potential incitement then I think Mein Kampf has definitely incited way more people to commit violent acts than Jordan Peterson ever could.

Pistols are already severely restricted in NZ. The change to the gun laws that's been made so far is really not that far reaching. All they've done so far is expanded the number of rifles and shotguns that will fall under the category of Military Style Semiautomatic (MSSA). Now, MSSA will include all centrefire rifles and shotguns capable of being used with a detachable magazine and a capacity of over 5 rounds. if your rifle or shotgun is rimfire, or has an integral magazine, or only detachable magazines with a capacity of 5 rounds or less are available, then it doesn't affect you.

What is still coming down the pipe is the legislative changes. My guess, is that with all of these extra firearms now reclassified as MSSAs, they'll move to ban all MSSAs. That will be the quickest and easiest legislative fix. They've also flagged "future proofing" the new legislation, to keep up with changes to technology. That means when some manufacturer comes out with an integral c-mag or some shit, it will be banned without any need for legislative changes.

It will be interesting to see where firearms like the AR15 end up. If magazines over 5 rounds are banned or heavily restricted, then is that enough to consider them incapable of being used with such magazines? You guys are still getting off relatively easy compared to Australia, where air rifles, semiauto. 22s and pump action shotguns all got nixed.

No, they charged him with violation of his probation that he was already on for bank fraud and credit card fraud and for lying to his probation officer, all of which he did.
