I imagine just about every voice actor in LA is pretty left leaning. The difference is how obnoxious they are about it and Tara seems like the queen of that hill.

I wouldn't be surprised if an actor was left-leaning if they were part of a union like SAG-AFTRA or AEA. Though having talked about it with theatre professors who are/were union members in college, union memberships should be seen more as a "good housekeeping seal" than political affiliation. Ronald Reagan for example was a conservative and used to be president of SAG back when he was an actor.

As for the feelings thing though, I wouldn't be surprised if that lead into liberal beliefs either. But there's a fine line between actors who are left-leaning, and actors who are pushy about their politics while being left-leaning.

There's also a difference between being able to have more people hear your message, and your message being more valuable simply because a lot of people are hearing it. Somehow, we've managed to let popular opinions be confused with reasoned ones.

Given how twitter took to Trump taking the White House, that wouldn't be too surprising. But I'd extend that to all of America, since the Texan VAs aren't much better than their West Coast counterparts when it comes to being SJW shitholes. To say nothing about all the non-VA celebs going all apeshit.

Unions are part of the problem, the other is that sites like Twitter and Tumblr have made it so that any insufferable dumbass (celebrity or otherwise, as the likes of Dobson, MovieBob, ADF and all the other lolcows with twitters prove) can speak their minds. Even if all there is in their minds are bullshit any sane person would be called out on.

Going back to the EG Daily discussion a few pages back, I’d like to point out that EG doesn’t like Trump either, and has even collaborated with Tara here on a song about impeaching him.
