Alright so maybe it's the wrong thread to ask this in, I dunno, but I got a random-ass question to ask because I have the memory of a goldfish. So um... has Google in the past ever advertised "voter registration day" during any of the midterm election years? I know the Google Doodles did one for 2016 (which was super cringey because of that fucking banner like holy shit):
But is it just me, or are they really pushing it this time around? Was wondering because there's this reminder ad thing that's popped up on YouTube and all I could think of is "Stop pretending you've literally cared about people registering for the midterm elections prior to this year, YouTube." 'Til I remembered Google owns YouTube.
So is this just more of a last-ditch effort to try and boost voter outcome?
