"The German chancellor, Angela Merkel, has condemned far-right protesters for “hunting down” foreigners in street mobs following the killing of a German man, allegedly by a Syrian and an Iraqi."

"Prosecutors said on Monday that police had arrested a 23-year-old Syrian man and a 22-year-old Iraqi man on suspicion of stabbing the 35-year-old German in an altercation in the early hours of Sunday. “The investigation, especially into the motive, the details of the crime and the murder weapon continue,” a statement said."

After the knife murder at the Chemnitz city festival, the situation threatens to escalate, reports the newspaper Bild. After the break-up of the Chemnitz city festival, about 1000 demonstrators march through the city on Sunday evening. According to their own statements, they are demonstrating against alien crime, moving from "focus to focus", chanting "We are the people".

The dead man is said to have been slaughtered with 25 stab wounds. It is reported that the second has now also succumbed to his serious injuries. This communication has not yet been verified. According to eyewitnesses, about a thousand violent people have gathered in Chemnitz city center. There are massive attacks on migrants. The police are currently completely overwhelmed and have asked all migrants to leave the city centre. There is a danger that the mood will change all over Saxony.

Are you talking about the Merkel government's ineffectual management of this whole migration crisis or the rioting idiots?

People who yell "Germany to the Germans, expell foreigners" usually tend to have certain views on race and racial purity... just sayin'.

The rioting idiots are merely a symptom of the Merkel governments loss of societal control. She triggered a societal extinction event on her nation. People are reacting to it in expected ways. The Germany that comes out the other end will likely look closer to modern Poland or Hungary.

Here is a bit of an update. At least one of the stab happy 'refugees' has a history of violence and crime.

Tensions risked being inflamed further by a news report that the Iraqi suspect in the murder case had, despite a lengthy criminal record, somehow avoided deportation.

The trained hairdresser arrived in Germany in 2015, the peak year of the influx that would bring over one million mostly Muslim people to the EU's biggest economy, reported mass-circulation Bild daily.

Since then he had reportedly received a suspended seven-months jail term for assault and been charged with other offences, including taking illegal drugs across national borders, fraud and property damage.

I'll continue to update as more information comes in, and try to translate what I can.

This is all interesting to say the least but still slightly worrying. We have more than enough historical examples to know that whenever the German people do get genuinely upset over something, horrible shit tends to happen to everyone else on the continent, we have two big examples of that in the last century alone. I'm thinking the only best case scenario in this is that when Merkel and her ilk are out of the government by hook or by crook, the so-called fascists of ADF take over before social alienation gets to the point where something far worse than them like actual fascists and/or commies rises up

It gets even worse. The guy should have been deported in early 2016, yet somehow that didn't happen.

It's going to be the usual routine of this guy just wandering off to a different city, where noone knew he was supposed to leave or the same old sob-story about how he'd face torture or whatever in his home country.

If this and similar shitshows would ever have one positive effect, it would be a stronger deportation policy that just shits all over considerations of some criminal's life in his shithole home country after being deported.

Its not going to be limited to Germany. For a thousand years, the European project has been to build ever greater states from the fractured feudal holdings. This was accomplished through a unification of the various people within the State into a cohesive national identity. Critical of which being a common language, a common religion, and shared "story" (the national Epic for you civilization fans) that all within the State share in common. This entire project was fraught with near constant external and internal bloodshed and violence. And the European States went about it ruthlessly. France and Spain in particular went to extreme lengths to destroy minority religions and languages within their boundaries. People forget that it was only a few hundred years ago that the people of Brittany in France didn't speak French at all, which was not even a common language until the 16th century. For some context, the US had declared independence and signed its constitution about the same time France decided the Bretons could no longer speak Breton. What we call French is actually "D'oil", and was spoke by people that settled what is now Paris and its environs. The French people were ruthlessly forced to adopt the common language, with a deliberate State policy implemented to obliterate any internal opposition to it. So successfully in fact, that bet most people reading this didn't even know France HAD ethnic and linguistic minorities as recently at 200 years ago. The new European States didn't just erase these languages, they erased the identity of these people entirely in favor of a common one to hold the new superstate together. All of this culminated in 1918 with a terrific war, at the end which it was decided the European nations would be fenced into their own States and that would be that.

Take any random European country...lets say Hungary. The current problem child. The country is ethnically homogeneous. They are the Magyar people, horsemen from the east. Their national Epic is they came from the East to their new homeland, converted to Christianity and assisted the Holy Roman Empire in fighting off Muslim invasions. After that they were integral part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and again fought the Kebab to bloody stand stills. They got their shit pushed in in 1918, became seperate from Austria, but maintained their ethnic, religious, and linguistic homogeneity up to Present day. But now super national organization is telling them this is not good. They need to "Diversify". And the worst part? They need to Diversify by importing a horde of people from the ethnic and religious grouping their national Epic says is their enemy. Worse, the enemy that defines their very identity as a people. There is no Hungarian history without the physical removal of Kebab. People should not be shocked why they have reacted the way they have to the refugee crisis. Nor is this unique to Hungary. The entire POINT of the Treaty of Versailles was to create European States with three key factors. They were the same Ethnically. They all spoke the same language, and for the most part followed the same Religion.

The EU has for many years now sought to kick out the foundational pillars that support the European state, undermining not just the Peace of Westphalia, which ended centuries of ruthless religious wars on the continent, but also the Versailles Treaty Organization established in 1918 to prevent further warfare between the States by making each country Ethnically and linguistically defined. You stayed with your people, and had no need to invade and seize the land of people not your own. Yes, that system failed spectacularly in 1939, but that was caused by Germany seeking to undo it, with Britain and France, and later Russia and the United States seeking to reimpose it. Even after the war had ended, the Russians more or less restored the Versailles borders (with some revisions to benefit them and fuck the Germans and Poles over). What the EU is doing is horrific. They are simultaneously trying to undermine the systems that seek to prevent another European war at the international level, while also undermining the internal systems at the National level that seek to keep the various States of Europe cohesive.

We already see the consequences of this undermining of the national Glue. Secession crisis in the UK and Spain, Belgium almost completely non functional, and now even rumblings of nationalist dissent in Germany that is regionally based in Saxony and Bavaria. And that is just what I know off the top of my head. The harder the EU pushes on this, the worse it will get.

You know shit is serious when they cancel soccer.

The German Football League (DFL) has canceled the second division match between Dynamo Dresden and Hamburger SV. The game, sold out with more than 30,000 spectators, was scheduled for Saturday at 1pm.

Reason for the refusal: The Saxon police needed all available forces at the announced demonstrations in Chemnitz.

A DFL press release states: "Under the direction of the State Ministry of the Interior of Saxony, the DFL German Football League has canceled today the match scheduled for tomorrow's Saturday between SG Dynamo Dresden and Hamburger SV."

Background was the disposal of the State Ministry, that due to demonstrations in Chemnitz on Saturday, provided for the game in Dresden police forces there can not be available. The DFL regrets the rejection, but respect the decision of the Ministry of the Interior.

The Saxon police chief Jurgen Georgie (61) had announced the possibility of a game cancellation on Friday afternoon at a press conference.

Georgie: "Taking into account all these circumstances, we must also take into account that the forces we need in Chemnitz will have an impact on other events. For the Free State of Saxony we have asked to relocate tomorrow's meeting between HSV and Dynamo Dresden. "

From the organizations Facebook:

For tomorrow, the Saxon police expected over 10,000 demonstrators in Chemnitz. Including violent from the extreme left, but also the right-wing extremist scene. The authorities have therefore requested that the second division league game between Dynamo Dresden and HSV is relocated. Saxony's police President Jürgen Georgie (61) with a view to tomorrow. Between 30 thousand soccer hooligans and 10,000 demonstrators this weekend could get very interesting!

Chemnitz, Germany (CNN)A few thousand protesters gathered Thursday evening for a nationalist rally in Chemnitz, just across the street from where local officials were meeting with community groups to discuss violent anti-migrant sentiment that flared earlier this week in the eastern German city.

The fairly peaceful demonstration was a stark contrast to scenes Sunday and Monday when far-right demonstrators clashed with counterprotesters over the fatal stabbing of a 35-year-old German man in a brawl.

Two men – an Iraqi and a Syrian – have been arrested in connection with the stabbing.

Chemnitz Mayor Barbara Ludwig was booed as she addressed about 6000 people inside Chemnitz stadium alongside Saxony's state premier, Michael Kretschmer.

Ludwig said "it was difficult" for authorities to decide what to do about the violence, prompting one local resident to shout: "Well, this is your job!"

There were around 1,500 counterprotesters Monday night, vastly outnumbered by the 60,000 far-right demonstrators, many of whom had traveled from other states to Chemnitz, Saxony state police said.

Infiltration fears

Concern over possible sympathy for far-right causes within the police and armed forces may have increased with two recent cases.

A police officer in the southwest German city of Trier was fired this week after being exposed for identifying with the Reichsbuerger movement, an extreme right-wing group.

A statement from the administrative court in Trier said the officer "was guilty of serious misconduct" and no longer recognized the country's constitutional system or laws, making him a potential threat to public safety.

Separately, Saxony police said Thursday that a police employee had left the service after revelations he attended a Pegida rally on August 16 while off duty and called the police on a TV crew covering the event, labeling them as "lying press.

Ten people are being investigated over Nazi salutes, an illegal gesture in the country, during Monday's protest in Chemnitz.

It sounds like they need a new mayor.

If you want to prevent these sorts of occurrences – rather than just grandstand after the fact – then you need at least to acknowledge the problems that are currently only being addressed, albeit inadequately, by the far right.

Muslims aren't being stabbed to death in the street by Germans
Muslims children aren't being preyed upon and raped by Germans
Muslims aren't being chased away from their homes by Germans
Islamic celebrations don't have to worry about a German driving a truck through a crowd and killing dozens of people

If anyone is a victim of hate and intolerance, its the native Germans

Sorry to nitpick, but Scotland's like, totally balls-deep in their pro-EU stance, this is one thing you can't really pin on the EU.

I thought about that too, but then I realized that the Scottish secessionists have been able to sell the whole project by pointing out they would still be in the EU, so wtf did it matter if they were in the UK too. They used the EU as the cover they needed to argue that Scotland could go foreword with the project. And now with Brexit they are using it as a wedge to say they can secede so they can stay in the EU. IMO, without the EU they would not have much of a leg to stand on.

KOETHEN, Germany (AFP) — Around 2,500 people marched in a far-right demonstration in eastern Germany Sunday after a man died following a fight with two Afghans, as officials pleaded for calm to avoid the anti-foreigner unrest that has shaken Chemnitz.

Local police and prosecutors said the 22-year-old victim had suffered acute heart failure after coming to blows with the Afghan suspects during a dispute on a playground in the town of Koethen late Saturday.

The German man’s death was “not directly” linked to the injuries suffered in the brawl, they said in a statement, and media reports said he died in hospital and that he had a pre-existing heart condition.

Prosecutors said one of the Afghan suspects, aged 18, stands accused of causing grievous bodily harm. The other, aged 20, faces charges of causing bodily harm with fatal consequences.

“With emotions running high, we have to resist any attempt to turn Koethen into a second Chemnitz,” the state premier of Saxony-Anhalt, Reiner Haseloff, told DPA news agency.

Chemnitz, also located in Germany’s former Communist east, has been rocked by a series of far-right demonstrations that saw participants assault foreign-looking people and shout anti-immigration slurs while some flashed the illegal Nazi salute.

Immediately after news of the latest incident broke, right-wing groups called on social media for a “mourning march” in Koethen from 7:00 pm.

Police estimated the turnout at some 2,500 people, and reported no major disturbances. Many of the demonstrators waved the German flag and shouted “Resistance! Resistance!”

A counter-demo by far-left protesters at Koethen’s rail station drew 200 people, according to police.

‘Keep calm’
Mayor Bernd Hauschild, in a Facebook message, urged locals to shun the right-wing demo because he had “information that people prepared to use violence were planning to travel to Koethen in large numbers.”

lol a bunch of racist violent idiots are burning down their own community because they're blaming the government on some random isolated act of brown-on-brown crime, but everyone's okay with it because the mob of idiots are white this time

You guys are racist.

It still baffles me how the SNP is apparently nationalist, super lefty, and internationalist.

Are the Scots just a race of progressives or what?
