Most hurtful thing someone said to you - Bonus points if it came from a loved one

My dad telling me if I'd ever commit suicide he'd take out the entire family too. He's all sorts of not ok.

(this was years ago so I may not be remembering this correctly)

It's quite sinister, but also a strange effect that you practically have power of life and death over your family.... if he's serious, well... I don't know. It's a bit heartwarming, if in a creepy way?

My mother once hugged me, and apologised, with tears in her eyes, for the way I 'turned out.'

I want to move past that night. It was years ago, but nothing changes the fact that she said that to me, and was completely sincere.

This isn't a honey pot trust me - OP told me.

But it was, now I cri everytime.

A year after my mother died from Cancer I get a letter from my father. In the letter he says that my mother wanted me to become closer to Jesus and find God again. (I now realize that my mother wouldn't have done something like this and it's probably my father talking.)
It's the most hurtful thing ever said for me because it made me feel tons of guilt for not pretending to be religious when my mother was sick. And it's the most fucked up thing anyone ever said to me after she died.

Also the worst thing: My father texting me saying that I killed my mother. (Basically "you killed your mother, you're the reason she died. You murdered her.") ETC. It really hurt to even have that said after I lost a person I was close with my whole life.

(I don't know if he regretted it. I cut him off after the texting incident.)

Your dad was a fucking dick. Or still is. Either way, fuck that guy.

On a certain level, it's hard not to admire someone capable of inflicting such pain with mere words.
It's about your connection to the person. I hate you hurts a lot more from a loved one than a passer by on the street.

It should hurt too much to even think about, let alone talk about it to a confidant in private, much less to the public anonymously.
Or unless one just has to get it out because they're sick of it eating at their memory and it's sometimes easier to share shit with strangers.
