It may be that I'm trying to put so much work into improving art for myself but that really hit a button or two. Like, no, that is the absolute worst attitude to have about art. No, art isn't always about super-duper really real anatomy but it freaking helps to still study it as it's great for figuring out how stuff even works. Even with cartoons with little to no real anatomy at all there's probably a lot of work into things like dynamics and colour theory and all that.

I just... You know what? Discovering something new you can use for drawing/colouring that improves upon it is one of the best feelings ever and if Dobson's gonna act like this then, well:

Have fun never, ever working for disney or anyone else you expect to magically pick you up and make you a multi-billionaire.

Sorry I went a bit overboard there but damnit his attitude just pisses me off. Lemme know if there's any way I can make up for it.

No no, you hit the nail right in the head. Dobson's condescending attitude towards art is pretty infuriating. But let's not forget that he never applies anatomy, color theory or even effort into his comics. And that's before you get into his humor and fetish pictures.

Just sayin' is all. ;)

Honestly, the last string of Tweets are a valid complaint. There's a lot of rampant art theft by people who don't give two shits about the original artist.

I thought Patreon was a crowd funding website as well, rather than a host of anything.
 
It is. You upload stuff there once you're done and you're paid for it.

It's for constant content creators as opposed to the wistful thinking types called Kickstarter.

Perhaps, but it doesn't change the fact that Fox News isn't what's being discussed here. It's nothing more than a slightly more relevant "why are we arguing about X when Y is such a bigger issue?!?!?!!?" ploy. Something utilized when you know you can't defend your actual position.
