Try as it might, Chick-fil-A just cannot shake its homophobic reputation.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey got dragged on his own platform on Sunday after he posted a screenshot showing the money he saved at Chick-fil-A by using their mobile app.

Users were quick to criticize Dorsey’s patronage of the restaurant whose CEO famously made comments that were interpreted as homophobic in 2012, sparking nationwide protests. Despite efforts to engage “urban” audiences, wage hikes for the employees of at least one franchise, and free meals for stranded travelers, Chick-fil-A is apparently still best known for having a CEO who once told a Christian news organization that Chick-fil-A supported “the biblical definition of the family unit” and that marriage equality was “inviting God’s judgment” on the U.S.

Journalist Soledad O’Brien, whose show Matter of Fact with Soledad O’Brienis nationally syndicated, pointed out in a tweet that Dorsey’s support for the restaurant chain was particularly ironic during Pride month. Dorsey responded saying that she was right and that he’d “forgot about their background.”

But for all its detractors, Chick-fil-A has just as many loyal patrons who will stand up for the company’s conservative, Christian values. After Dorsey recognized his Chick-fil-A order as a flub, users rushed to defend the company’s employment practices, value for money, and religious background.

Chick-fil-A has been in the news recently for its association with the Trump administration. EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt reportedly personally asked CEO Dan Cathy if Pruitt’s wife could open a Chick-fil-A franchise.

At Recode’s Code Conference last month, Momofuku chef David Chang called his spin-off fried chicken sandwich shop, Fuku, a “liberal Chick-fil-A“.

>Having to apologize for eating a deep fried chicken patty

I'm glad I don't live within a thousand miles of Silicon Valley.

Imagine still being asshurt about a fast food chain because of some words their CEO said the better part of a decade ago. I actually doubt anybody really cares at this point, they just have "tangential association with Chic-fil-a" on their list of things to get high and mighty on Twitter about.

It would have been even better if he decided to eat Chick-fil-A and Five Guys in the same sitting. Just imagining the RRREEEEing makes me smile.

Chick Fil-A in Texas, circa 2016. I was in line and the guy at the register was clearly of the flamboyant type.

He was happy, and so was everyone else working there. Unlike at these overpriced socialist-hipster establishments that lost multiple lump-sums on racial profiling AKA racial bias seminars. These bloodsuckers will never sit down in a chain that actually cares about their customers, that won't cut corners and lie to you about a side not being available (like they do at McDonald's) or have a fatigued frown (like at Burger King).

Oh no, he hate the most delicious chicken-based fast food option available and literally the most successful franchise. Seriously. Out of any franchise someone can own, they are the most successful.

Hell, the kids working there even seem happy enough while working in a fast food place AND they have manners, albeit forced manners.

When you apologize where you grab food from, you're a fucking bitch.

Edit: Wanna know when you're in a good area or at the very least, relatively good? Look for a Chick-fil-A. You typically don't find them in the ghetto for a good reason.

It's the same thing with the Papa John's thing from last year or so, it's like tell me when a fast food corporation is installing suicide nets outside of each of their stores then maybe I'll find something about them worth complaining about other than "CEO said the bad thing reee"

Plus that some of the most flaming queers I know have been seen eating Chic-Fill-A and oh look, they don't burst into fucking ashes from the heaping amounts of homophobia baked into every piece of chicken. Maybe it's because they have far more pressing shit in their lives to worry about, I dunno.

Anything Christian that’s also mainstream and succesful will always have a big ol’ target on its back. Emperor Nero is alive and well.

Why am I not surprised that Twitter went on a crusade to bash Jack for eating at Chick-Fil-A? Yeah, their CEO said something that I disagreed with, but their food and milkshakes are good, and their employees are fantastic. Who fucking cares? If you don’t like them, don’t buy from them. Don’t bash others for wanting delicious food.

My god, what is this world coming to?
How can anyone still be allowed to have their own opinions about controversial subjects in (current year)?

I thought all of that had been outlawed after Martin Luther King jr. defeated Hitler and freed the gays.

Última edición:
I heard their breakfast burritos were delicious af.

Might need to buy one tomorrow in their support.
