I dunno, the way he carries on about having crippling depression, agoraphobia, etc, you'd think SOMEONE has pointed out to him by now that people have gotten SSDI tugboat for less and that it would probably be accessible to him as well.

Pretty much, that is what Dobson is, whatever else he may be.
Has me wondering, because of his hatred of socializing, do the people he "trusts" exist In Real Life (IE Family Members, neighbors, childhood acquaintances), or are they internet only and thus a bunch of feminIngSocJus/troons...?

I'm sure he at least still has contact with his parents and maybe some family (we all have that family member we don't like but we deal with for family's sake I'm sure) but I'd bet money he doesn't have any actual friends that he hangs out with. Honestly the guy seems incredibly unbearable.

I recall in one of his old blogs somewhere where he flew back home to MA and one of his actual friends (like from school in MA back in the day) picked him up at the airport. He even named the friend, full name and everything. Internet phantoms can't pick Dob up from the airport. Brian LaPlume or something like that, I believe. (and no, I have no idea how that Brian guy ever put up with Dobson, unless they are bears of a feather and flock together.) Dobson doesnt seem like he has many friends, considering he's actually okay at concealing his personal life it's open to debate but Personally from his MO I doubt he has m/any friends because that sort of peer influence moderates the sort of problems we see. I think he does genuinly mistakes online people for genuine friendships and peers since he has no other frame of referance.
Dobson doesnt strike as particulary pleasent company IRL. His sense of humor is terrible, he's got bad case of dunning kruger effect and he seems like he'd struggle with the give and take flow of friendship particulary in terms of gentle ribbing and low key competition which often shapes male friendships and his tendacy to put women on a pedastal ensures the friendship will quickly become workable unless the womans a total sociopath and Dobsons a total doormatt. I really can't imagine anyone being his friend for very long.

You don't get SSDI for mental health issues that have been diagnosed by Dr. Wikipedia, though.
You can tell people don't have had much friends in their life when their line of thought concerning a disagreement sounds anything like this:
"If he was my friend, he wouldn't disagree."
Dobson demands utter purity and submitting to the same ideas and notions that he adheres to. A failure to do so will result in endless whining and bitching. Even just liking a game that Dobson dislikes will make him shittalk at a person.
Dobson is unable to deal with people cause he has barely any experience in doing so and holds them up to impossible standards that completely ignore their own personality and lacks absolutely every trace of respect for their opinions.

No, I don't think that was the one. It was the guy who told the "Hat Andy" stories about Anime Club and what Dobson was like at the time.
I, too, was musing over who these people are that Dobson "trusts" for feedback on his work. I have strong doubts that they're legit artists, or if they are, they don't make graphic novels, comics or anything of the kind. If they are legit, they must be either total shit at making comics, or they keep Dobson at arm's length but interact with him out of pure charity. And then there's the idea that Dobson would listen to them anyway. That concept alone doesn't stand up to scrutiny. If they even exist at all, which is also debatable.
Can you imagine just how mentally draining it would be to be friends with Dobson? I think we all know people who are just tiresome to be around, but Dobson would be a whole 'nother level. So I agree, odds are that he has no real friends. He may interact with people. The guy behind the counter at the movie theater who gets the popcorn. The teen behind the counter at McDonald's. Maybe a neighbor who waves 'hello' to him. But that's probably it IRL, outside of family. He does interact with people online, but those are not real friendships in the traditional sense, and even then, his personality would just drive people away. We've see it happening in real time.
It really is sad, and sometimes you wish you could help, but there's nothing anyone can do. Only Dobson can fix it, and he doesn't seem too inclined. As I've said before, he needs a serious wake-up call from reality/life.

With all the red tape you have to go through to get that, (diagnosed by a professional, and have a doctor appointed by the government agree with the diagnosis.) and to have it reevaluated every few years, you would think that Dobson would complain about it more. Something like Trumps America makes it hard for people like me to get help. He would use it to make himself look like a victim. It would be a fall back for everything, and he would have something else to blame on the trolls.
