Money 3/14 - Selling Cole Smithey's vintage comics

I just took a look through PristineChristine's eBay offerings. I'm much more a fan of Bronze Age Marvel than I am of DC, so I don't know that much about valuing DC books. While it's possible that investment grade/NM comics go for the prices he's asking, I've seen a lot of dealers offering reading copies of the kinds of books Chris is selling in their $5 bins.

Interestingly enough, in the middle of all of this 1970's DC goodness, Chris is also trying to sell this:

TBH I doubt Cole would really care about this if/when he finds out. Either he forgot the comics were there in the first place, he assumed they were destroyed in the house fire/lost in the hoard, or he knew they've been there for decades but there's no way in hell he would make the trip down to Ruckersville just to get them and have to deal with seeing Barb.
Also, Cole now has a hateboner for anything mainstream. He’d lose hipster street cred if he took ownership of those comics again.

Godbear forbid he actually reads the comics to learn how to draw and assemble a comic page correctly.

No, Chris, keep drawing panels left to right, then right to left, then some dumb shit in the middle with arrows pointing to it.

Disclaimer: Barb is terrifying in this video, and may give you nightmares. Poor things probably think they have thousands of dollars worth of comics. From what I could glance from the shaky-cam, it's mostly mid 70's early 80's DC. Looks like Cole was a fan of Sgt. Rock.
Yeah I noticed issue after issue there. Not quite the variety I had hoped, but beggars can't be choosers I suppose. Now if they were Silver Age issues (preferably 1960's), that might peak someone's interest.

Funny thing is other people on Ebay that are selling the same DC superstars Teen Titans #1 are selling them for half the price that Chris is and it looks like some shnook just bought it from him and just got ripped off
Well, it's their loss for being assholes!

Don't forget numbering the text so we know who's talking at who, not to mention *crash to grass* and *make gun do a 180*!

So, in other words he's justifying selling Cole's stuff the same way he justified selling his dad's:
"Hm, well... I'm sure he won't miss 'em."
Hell, he probably asked his dad in the after life if it was okay or not and when his spiritual super powers failed on him, "... Well, he didn't say 'No'."

Say what you want about Cole, I'd feel filthy buying something Chris more or less stole.

I don't really see an issue with him selling Cole's shit. It's obviously Cole ain't getting it back anytime, and I doubt he cares. Him (supposedly) giving half to Cole is more than enoguh

This is one of those situations where I laugh at Kiwis for thinking that Chris has so much going for him compared to Cole.
These little hissy fits are reflective of the bitchfest Chris will throw once Barb is dead, and he finally realizes no binaural beats or magical taints will bring him a real family replacement.
I actually kinda dig Cole.
The poor bastard doesn't know his real dad is, got the fuck away from Barb and chris the second he could, moved to SoCal and played in a punk band in the early 80s, managed to marry into money, lives in a nice part of manhattan with no discerable employment all while trolling rotten tomatoes by intentionally giving critical darling movies bad reviews just to fuck up their score.
Joe Cool indeed.
