Jason Walling went for the jugular. As mentioned earlier, Dobson is a poor man's plebcomics (even that is stretching it), as he doesn't back up his claims. Majority of the time, his "arguments" are fabricated and or exaggerated to the point of absurdity. Yet, Dobson thinks it makes him look good when evidence proves otherwise.

I’d say it’s more like Dobson WANTS to be a poor man’s plebcomics. But pleb is actually likable and tries to improve her art.

also notice he completely ignored/disregarded the blatant error he made in "representation" (both the incorrect pie graph he made and the incorrect assumption that whatever portion it actually ended up being wasn't ENOUGH, probably because Dobson cannot Math on top of his IngSocJus senpai indoctrinations that force him to avoid the facts, because somehow 50% representation of 13% of the population is "fairness" and the only possible answer).
 
Dobson tends to drop a conversation and run for the hills when he realises that he's been beat. Not that he'll ever admit it.

People hated Janway because she was, among a few other reasons, essentially a war criminal by the end of the series, not a Starfleet Captain. Dobson is just once again cramming everything into his narrow world view.

Also, I’m willing to be most of the people arguing in his comments would immediately turn on Dobson if they knew his past(because most of them are just extreme virtue signaling themselves.

I loved Voyager, but it had a metric shit-ton of problems behind the scenes, and casting wasn't one of them. It was on the writing and producing side where the show let things down. I remember some people at the time the show was announced were concerned because a woman would be captain, and that initially led to some uncertainty. If that's what Dobbo is trying to say, he's maybe a tiny bit right. But in short order, Mulgrew convinced people she was good, and owned the role. Anyone bitching about her gender after that was definitely in a minority, so Dobbo is wrong that there was this huge backlash. Frankly, I was more annoyed they had a black Vulcan, because after thirty-plus years of Star Trek we never saw one, so it didn't make sense and was clearly done as a stunt, or maybe to sell toys (even so, that said, Tim Russ was the best Vulcan since Nimoy, hands down, and I loved what he did with the character). In Dobbo's mind, that would make me a full-on racist, I guess. ¯\(º_o)/¯
 
I do think there's some casual sexism when people smarm shit like "Try not to lose the desk now that you've been promoted, Katie", but mostly that's just bandwagoning on the whole Voyager hate train. The series definitely had a lot of problems, with inconsistent writing being the foremost, but when you stack it up against shit like Enterprise or Discovery it looks like a goddamn masterpiece. And I'd argue that it still managed to do more with character development, even with character inconsistencies, than Next Gen did because static characterization was pretty much part of the TNG bible.

But again, shit like this is all above Dobbles' head. I can guarantee he didn't even watch Voyager, because it had a tendency to dip into just as much dark content and moral grey areas as DS9 did, and we know he can't take that, he can barely not be triggered by children's cartoons. All he knows is FEMALE CAPTAIN SO GOOD.
 
Okay, so I decided to look at lists of every Marvel publication for the period of 2015 to 2017 to check the statistics of Dobson's claim of non-white male comics being 40% of their output. Might've missed a few but it would alter this much. Here are the rules for what I'm counting:
  • Has unique title and is not a relaunch. This is fairer on series like Captain Marvel which would shoot the numbers up.
  • Since Dobson is including cancelled/finished stuff, so will I
  • Not an annual
  • Mini-series and one-shots will be included as it shows what they're promoting.
  • I'll be generous and include aliens/other beings in "white" if they pass enough
  • Teams and events will be credited to whatever the leader is or who has the most focus
  • If it's a duo, I'll count them twice for the appropriate demographic if different
  • I'll show the Marvel Star Wars comics separate
Star Wars:
  • 22 total
  • 27% (6) with white male protagonists
  • 27% (6) with white female protagonists
  • 9% (2) with "Latino" protagonists (Based on their actors, wouldn't make sense in-universe)
  • 9% (2) with black protagonists
  • 27% (6) with unknown/does not apply
  • 63% not white male
Marvel:
  • 254 total
  • 45% (116) with white male protagonists
  • 22% (57) with white female protagonists
  • 13% (32) with black male protagonists
  • 4% (11) with black female protagonists
  • 2% (5) with Asian male protagonists (Mostly nu-Hulk by himself)
  • 2% (5) with Asian female protagonists
  • 2% (6) with Latino protagonist
  • 2% (4) with Latina protagonist (lol America Chavez)
  • 1% (3) with Muslim female protagonist (Just Kamala)
  • 8% (21) with unknown/does not apply
Notice anything? Even if we accept Dobson's idea that people are complaining about a lack of white men instead of all their major characters getting shit on and replaced, he's still wrong because it's closer to 66% than 40. Not only that but you can clearly see how uneven this "diversity" is if that's your point. There are two major types of "diversity" characters in that period, #Woke black guy and the one that was growing like a damn weed....."Quirky teenage North American white girl who loves selfies and has a body weight half comprised of Starbucks".

I still have my list if anyone wants to look over it. Some people want to "see" these things themselves.

Dobson’s ego continues to swell with all the attention his Black Panther comic got. Can’t wait for his FB to become his new DA, as his fall will be all the harder.

This should be fun, he's posting his objectively incorrect comic to answer a bunch of people that seem to actually know a few things about comics, whatever their other allegiances are.
