I wish there was a way to measure how much time he spends answering these :autism: questions on Reddit.

Average typing speed is 40 wpm. I copy-pasted all of YanDev's posts (only those in response to question threads) from the last 24 hours into a word counter, it came out to ~1400.

So today, he spent about 35 minutes just typing the answers, not including the time taken to browse questions and think of the answers.

Has anyone noticed how the YanSim subreddit is basically nothing but sub-par fanart, a million stupid & completely vapid questions for the dev, and fellow farmers occasionally posting to kick the beehive (which is even funnier considering they're the most well written posts on the subreddit)?

Just looking at the subreddit is extremely indicative of both the state of the game and the demographic that subscribes to it. There are a million questions because the actual game has nothing to discuss, only speculation is worth talking about at all. Anyone with enough self-respect and self-discipline to learn to draw well will know to avoid the subreddit like the plague, so all we're left with, fanart-wise is shite drawings by 14-year-olds dumb enough to think these characters are worth their time to draw.

The only other conversation worth having is about the dev, but just about everything that isn't sucking his cock is neutered or deleted by his mods. Anything slightly negative that gains any real traction within the subreddit is put down and labelled "brigading" or a "raid."

How anyone can look at the subreddit and not immediately be turned away is honestly :autism:

This has probably been discussed before, but I've only bee lurking since page 870.
It will always be :autism: sadly.

I hope she doesn't get banned for saying "Kiwis"

I can't even convince myself to try to participate. There's just no thread worth going into on that subreddit. And anything interesting either gets removed or the ensuing controversy is mostly everyone complaining about the controversy. There's nothing at all to see.

You know what? Fake reference books are all the rave these days, from Rowling's Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them to that Monster Girl Encyclopedia Alex was slurping about. Alex should ditch the game and write a book full of police files, newspaper articles, private letters, diary snippets and so on, documenting the convoluted history of the Ayano's and Megami's families.
Yes, it would most likely be shit, but his fanbase would love it. They are the same age demographic that would buy Minecraft guidebooks or Minecraft novels, so why wouldn't they buy an official Yandere Simulator backstory book.
(Yes, Minecraft novels is a thing. It's as bad as you think.)

I get the vibe that just like the video game, some schmuck will beat Alex to the punch if he decided to try something like that just because he'd rather just sit there and poorly play games while perving on Zero Suit Samus. He'd probably only type out the garbage and demand his fans do it, which in retrospect would be a more workable system than his game right now given he'd only need art assets for a book. Hell, a fake documentary around the fictional slayings would be pretty awesome as a companion piece to it and low budget e-movie..

New to the thread but god damnit I am glad to see Ol' Alex is here on the farms, especially seeing how much of a complete mess he is and has the guts to call himself a game dev, but I bet that's already covered by extent and with much more detailing.

Expect me to binge-read this as soon as I have the time because fuck... 900+ pages is too much to NOT get into.

This is what happens when a creator gets so much into his creation he starts treating it like his baby and insists that every type of critism is a direct attack, thus interacting with his fans too much and in a toxic way.

Gotta admit, being an admin on ys subreddit must make you paranoid. Both fans and antifans (especially new ones that feel betrayed) are overreacting, yelling at each other to no end. No wonder theyd just rather delete anything slightly negative to avoid drama.
Admittedly, first poll was alright, second couldve been handled a little better.
(Still, Im baffled at admins reaction to their 'private' chat being on kiwifarms.)

This idea is so good Im afraid Alex might 'get inspired' by it. He clearly has more fun thinking up the super detailed backstory of Megami's left shoe than writing his code for Osana. Id doubt his writing skills would improve since no proper research would be done, but at least you could get some decent edgy entertainment to read for 5 minutes from time to time.

Also, can someone explain to me why does he center the whole plot around Megami and Yandere's families? No wonder he doesn't want to work on other rivals. They all, especially Osana, seem like unnecessary bull to the main story.

Welcome aboard, it's one hell of a ride.

DPG9 just seems to like to argue lol

Did you have any idea that kiwifarms is in the present a polemic website who was once investigated by the FBI of E.E.U.U? Guess who is the founder? A racist person. Every time that kiwifarms targetted a victim, their lives were ruined, and some of them even commited suicide. This is because, "via chaning the world" these persons's past got exposed and trapped on the entire internet, spreading hate around. Thanks to kiwifarms, sites like "anti-yanderedev" were created, and they are only dedicated to laugh at one person who never hurted anyone.

Did you know that Yandere Sim was created by a possible Pedo? Did you know that Alex is almost scamming children for a product that isn't finished yet? (How old do you have to be to to donate to Patreon? You at least need a credit card or PayPal, right?) Did you know that Christopher Columbus found America then slaughtered the native people? Did you know that almost everything was founded by people "worse" than us because, when it was founded, social etiquette was different?

I'm too lazy to research now, but I'm sure there are other instances where an undesirable person founded something we all use today.

Did you know that we are not trying to ruin Alex's life? We are discussing his conduct online, we rarely discuss his offline "life" (or lack thereof) unless it's to talk about where his money goes.

I remember one post on the Subreddit asking what is the Kiwi Farms, and one commenter at one point stated that “Weening is the act of interacting with a lolcow, i.e. Alex Mahan.” Which is totally false as the real definition of Weening is to be so bad at trolling and coming off as a try-hard that it’s painful to watch, whether or not it is towards a lolcow. This does kind of further prove that the subreddit doesn’t really know about what the Farms really is and does. If you wanna read it for yourselves (or not since I’m probably too :late: to point this out) here ya go: https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/yandere_simulator/comments/64u6h7/what_is_kiwi_farms/

I live for the utter stupidity in this thread :story:

The mod for the subreddit is just making things worse by saying things like it’s pointless to come on the sub if you don’t support the game. Way to make the silent majority even bigger on that sub.
