I must add, that I always feel like I know what PK is trying to do, but she never quite manages to portray it correctly.
What PK thinks she's showing:
-Realistic Trans struggles with their body issues
-Emotional breakdown with depression over it, due to her not being able to "pass" (species traits)
-Mother not understanding her childrens inner turmoil, abandoning her out of frustration
-Autism
-"Microaggressions"
-A sympathetic trans character
What's actually happening in the comic:
-Trans character whines and throws a fit over easily changable issues or issues that do not exist in the world she lives in
-Body issues come from the trans character not even knowing the difference between male/female at first
-Body issues aren't ever an issue in said universe
-Trans Character getting upset over sexual dimorphism, a thing that has been shown to not exist outside of their reproductive organs within the species she shares traits of
-Trans Character has been shown several times within the comic, that no one cares what she calls herself and they freely accept it without question, regardless of whats between her legs
-Parents supporting their trans daughter by trying to give her all information to her "issue" as possible and trying to make sure she gets the most support she can
-Parents taking absolutely no issue with the decision their daughter made over night and through a tree house sign, instead of actually finding out why girls are girls and boys are boys and just saying she is okay to do so
-Parents buying clothing for their lazy daughter that align with the gender their child chose
-Parents giving advice on how to change body issues through species abilities but trans character not using these and instead deciding to whine about easily changeable things
-Sister being supportive despite trans Character still acting as if the world hates her for her transness
