Outside of canon this trope is invoked a lot especially in H-doujins due to a rather persistent tendency for male writers to be intimidated by the idea of girls who don't find them sexually attractive because they're extremely insecure manchildren. This is the reason why a disturbingly large number of popular lesbian characters and characters who are popular in part because of their near lesbian tendencies are depicted in huge amounts of heterosexual porn with a random male insert or more and very frequently in the form of rape instead of with each other. Think of it somewhat as the Distaff Counterpart to All the Good Men Are Gay except this time, you can get them back on the "home team" so to speak.
I don't know if I've ever seen anyone having such a spergfit over hentai of all things, but TV Tropes never fails to go way beyond the autism event horizon.

“NOT EVEN FICTIONAL WOMEN WILL DROP THEIR PANTIES FOR ME!!!! WAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!”

But seriously speaking, that page reads like it was written by creepy tumblrinas with grudges against men for “stealing” the girls they creep on. Or something.

Some of these tropes must be fabricated.

All the good men are gay? Are all the examples of this trope from Will and Grace?

Write a Character of the Opposite Gender dijo:
If you look at the personalities around you, the ones owned by your friends and family, you will see this played out. Almost all (actual-people) personalities are a combination of masculine and feminine traits. Some of them may repress those traits to a greater or lesser extent (more on that later), but by and large they are combinations. The reality of the situation is that much of gender is culturally based; what counts as "masculine" or "feminine" depends on whom you ask, and where you ask them, and when (more on that later, too). When you get down to it, people are people; write your character as a person first, a gender second, and you're good to go.

Honestly the entire article could've just ended on this paragraph.

The "Write a Character of the Opposite Gender" article is basically like this.

>Using feminist terms to talk about gender and toxic masculinity and why femininity is the best

>And end on a bullshit note that it's not gender it's about "being flawed humans".

EDIT: sorry if I'm acting like a autist.
